I took a couple of photos of the auto sativa that was planted on sept 12 and grown in a small 6 inch clay pot.
The leaves are turning yellow and the trichs look a little cloudy, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone please advise based on these shots how much longer it may need to go? I would prefer a strong head high rather than a body stone.
Thanks for any advice.

Congrats on the beautiful plant you have there! You have done a great job. What strain is it exactly? It looks to have another few weeks but looks can be deceiving. Do you have a scope to check out the trichs? I always shoot for the same high, heady, and is the only way I harvest mine and I normally harvest mostly cloudy and only a few amber. If there are some clear, I don't worry much about that but I try to keep amber to a bare minimum. The only real good way to check is with a scope, 20x or greater.

High!

Nice work!
Giive it few more weeks....she will put more on. She is just starting :)

Peace!

Thanks everyone.
I had considered cutting off a little bud to test it last night, but when I touched the plant it was so sticky, and made my fingers smell so much that I decided not to disturb it.
I can wait. I hope that it fills out some more like the beautiful pix I see around the forum of really fat bud clusters.
I do have a 30x magnifier, but it wasn't very easy to use so I tried taking the shots with a very high megapixel camera to see if I could get a clearer view. Unfortunately, I think I would need a macro lens to really get in close and I don't have one.

The strain is a white diesel feminized auto that I got from sensi seeds. I had three seeds and planted two. Both came up but I was experimenting with tiny pots (stupid idea!) and the other seed was in a two-inch clay pot and it turned male a couple of weeks ago so I removed it from the grow room. I did try to smoke it but it had no effect other than a mild headache.
I think that I've made tons of mistakes on my first grow- poor initial lighting, over fertilizing, poor pot size, incorrect ph, and probably incorrect watering- and am looking forward to a second grow when this one is done to see if I can increase my yield and keep my plants looking healthier during the grow.

Looks like 58-63 days depending on breeder were the quoted finishing times, I didn't see Sensi's brand listed but that should put you in the ballpark. So, you smoked the other with no effect. That isn't surprising as the resin glans need to mature in order to become THC, the psychoactive chemical. If they are harvested too early you will end up with useless bud. That was the reason I asked about the scope. Yes, the cheap ones are pretty darned hard to use but the more you use it the easier it gets. So, basically you are looking for that sticky goodness to go from clear heads, to cloudy heads. Like I said earlier, keep an eye on them every few days and when you get the majority to cloudy then it will be time to harvest. They won't all be there at the exact same time so you will have to judge for yourself what is acceptable and how much longer to wait.

Experience is the best teacher man, glad to hear you are seeing your mistakes and looking to correct them on the next grow. I promise you, it will get easier every time! And your buds will get better!

Nice looking plant ... she has a lot of whitening up to do ... I hope you've got the time to wait ... a picture a week would be nice ... :thedogsbollocks:

Here they are again on november 5.
They were planted on sept. 12 and sprouted on sept 17.
The indica is an auto super skunk and the sativa is an auto white diesel.
How much longer do you guys and gals think?
Thanks for any advice.

Nice grow ... I like to harvest when a bud looks like it is finished. There are no new white pistils and most of the fan leaves have died off and the sugar leaves are close behind them. The one in the middle looks pretty close. Possibly another week or more depending on how it looks to you up close.
