Howdy Folks.

Last grow I did I switched nutes to Advanced Nutrients Iguana Grow, Bloom and Cal Magic.

I noticed that when I mixed my solution ph was way off the normal mark.

As I am using Roots Organic soil do you recommend adding dolomite lime to my mix and if so how much? Getting ready to start anew grow in a few weeks using 3 gallon buckets

dolomite lime being slow acting i figure it takes a bit of guess work and practice to get it right.cal/mag is more fast acting i think.lemon juice and other things can correct ph to
good luck n keep er lit.

When I grew in soil, I used to put one tablespoon dolomite lime per gallon pot size. I primarily used it for calmag due to running mass built led lights.

Well I will use it in half my Grows in the next few weeks and see if there is any differences

I was advised to stay away from dolomite because the magnesium is too high, the ratio to calcium is off and can result in soil compaction, poor drainage and some other issues. It was suggested to use ag lime, oyster flour and Gypsum instead.

Anyone have any ideas on how to keep my ph in check by way of adding admendnents to my soil?

ive heard and read of folk adding dolomite lime to soil, but it takes them a few runs to figure out how much or little to use.so a bad plan short term.it also effects ph,agin depending on 1,2,3,4 ? teaspoons/gal of soil its a lot of guess work that could take a while to dial in.
i like to keep things simple, i use biobizz soil and nutes my feeds are between 6.2 and 6.8 so i dont make any ph adjustments.
good luck n keep er lit.
