Those are looking nice SG! Keep up the good work bro. I am going to be interested in comparing yields when we finish up.

thanks, bro! :smokebuds:

let's definitely do this. i'm curious myself.

day 53

buongiorno, ladies 'n' gents!

a few days ago i decided to discard the trashy fertilizer from the hardware store. now i'm officially biobizzed. :wiz: :pimp:

my girls have been really slow maturing, but with these decent nutrients it speeds up bud development a lot. they take 3 ml/l bloom and 2 ml/l topmax with every feeding and don't show any signs of overfertilization.

just a few snapshots; better pics to come with the next feeding in a few days.

hasta la vista

sativa :cough:

That led makes it near impossible to see but they look pretty good from what is available. Keep up the good work SG! I am getting excited, as I am sure you are too. Ohhhh soooo close.

i knew i'll fuck it up...

...at least a bit.

this morning i opened the tent to inspect the girls. i noticed the much darker green of the leaves. also, the form of the leaves was not as usually. they were formed like a claw downside.
quite a few leaftips were curved, to the left or to the right, and overall deformed.

PIC00004.jpgPIC00001.jpgPIC00003.jpgPIC00002.jpg

brown spots did establish along the main leaf vein.
my camera is too shitty to capture the brown spots, but i guess it is potassium lockout (caused by salt buildup, i guess); pretty easy to see, even for a beginner like me.

i think i overdid it with the topmax (respectively overall fertilizer strength). also my ph seemed to be out of the range (measured with the ph stripes from the runoff).
i usually squeeze some drops of lemon juice in my nutrient mixture, to lower the ph a bit; i guess it has been too much this time.

flushed them immediately with some low strength nute solution; we'll see how that ends...

*master facepalm*

Best of Luck Sativa_Guy!

It would help if you could get some Pics without the Led on.

thanks testor.

next feeding time is in about 2-3 days; ambient light pics will come at this time. although my camera can't do decent close-up images, i'll try to focus on the brown spots.
but well, that's all they are... brown spots. i'm not really looking for somebody to analyze, since it was pretty clear what deficiency it is and why it happened; a clear case of salt buildup due to overfeeding and unspecific lockout of nutrients as a result.

i'll be more cautious with dosing the fertilizer in the future; i want them chubby, not dead. :D

less is more...:check:

Don't fret dude, I have been gardening for 15 years outdoors and managed to fuck my grow up as well. There is much to be learned and this is part of learning. Next go around will be better and each one after that.

you are absolutely right , bro! and i don't fret too much, cause the girls seem to be alright, overall. thankfully i noticed the situation at the very beginning.

i think at your place it's the contrary: you don`t fed enough. your habitual environment changed from outside to inside with artificial lightning. with your 660 watt power they do a lot of metabolism and therefor need food.

but hey, things will fall into place, pretty sure...

:five:

day 57 - phew, the girls are alright

bonjour AFN,

how are you guys?

after the grande malheur the girls did recover good; tough ladies i got there.

PIC00006.jpgPIC00007.jpgPIC00005.jpgPIC00008.jpgPIC00009.jpgPIC00010.jpgPIC00011.jpgPIC00012.jpg

a few brown spots here and there (if you look closely at the top leaves you can notice them) and a few light green leaves, due to being on a strict diet for a few days. this time feeding contained 4 ml bio bloom, 1 ml topmax and 1/3 teaspoon of epsom on 3l water; so i'm staying on the safe side this time.

i will alternate nute strength between every feeding, so that unused salts will get flushed out consistently.

ok people, that's it for now. thanks for watching.

stay tuned - sativa :hippy:
