Ive been growing my autoflowering dr feelgood for a while now and shes doing really good. I am a bit confused though, she started pushing pistils out about 3 weeks ago, but i still have no signs of clusters forming. At the tips where i'd imagine the clusters to be there is what looks like a pair of leaves closed around what could be a tiny closed up bud. Am i right i thinking this is the beginnings of a bud??? If it is, is it normal for it to take this long opening up?? Ive got 3 17000 lumen, 2700k cfl' running 20/4 for the whole grow, should i give her more dark, or is patience the key???
Any input would be appreciated as i couldn't find much in the way of grow logs for this strain.

:peace:Hey buster, I'm growing an ak-49 it has developed buds sites and got heaps of lumps with many pistils but they don't look like traditional bud yet. I'm growing with a 400w hps at 20/4.
My buds are worrying me too as they haven't developed trichomes. I'm sure they will develop in the next week or so (week 9).
See if you can post a pic someone will have good advice. My gut feeling is be patient and the plant will do its thing and make you very happy.:joint:

I have found that plants tend to mature slower when using cfl or less light.Under 3-600 watt hps in a 5x7 room pistils @ 21 days and bud forming @ 30.

Hi, Just thought id post my experience with this strain Dr.Feelgood :

Ive had 2 dwarf phenos that were done in under 60 days, but the last one didnt start flowering till day 30+, and at day 60 it kinda looks like that ak-49 pic milkman put up(preflowering small budsites). I had another auto next to it started at the same time, and it is finished. While this one has just started to flower lol....

Its just a different pheno I guess.... I almost killed it at first because i did not think it was an autoflower.... but it slowly started to flower 3 weeks after the others, and much slower, but as i said other seeds from this strain have produced stinky small plants in roughly 56 days....

Ive also had this Super size auto thingy happen to both my Kush Van stitch's they got sooo dam huge i couldnt keep em in my tent lol.... they were autoflowers but again they started flowering a little later then my dwarf autos.

I have also noticed they flower faster if you blast them with Bloom nutes earlier then 30-40 days, and cut out all Veg nutes until they are in full bloom. But if they flower early keeep hitting them with veg nutes so you get more bud sites and a bigger plant :D.

Good Luck!

rello2, it sounds like yours and mine are of the same, she vegged for around 5 weeks. Did it yield more seeing as the plant was bigger? Ive had to tie mine down twice now, but she hasnt grown much hight in the last 5 days, so im guessing shes well and truley started to flower.
It is odd though. I grew some auto cheese a while back and it was done in around 75 days. I was hoping for the same kinda time on this, but ya'know at least it aint male, lol.
I'll post a pic when i can find my camera.

I ran my Dr FG as a 12 weeker and she wanted every extra minute she could get. My log is in the Flash section if you are interested in comparing. I'm guessing the low light is the difference, I ran mine under a 400w but she certainly packed it on at the end. Hitting them with the bloom nute might help it kick in. I ran mine under 24hr light so I don't know how much changing your light cycle will help.

Yes it yielded alot more then the other regular sized ones. Id say it would have gotten 5-7 feet tall if I had it in 5-10 gallon pots... Like I said I almost killed it because it wasnt flowering, but then it slowly started to show bud sites under 20/4 light.

For what its worth, the big one was grown in a 3 gallon pot, but the other 2 small dr.feelgood ones were in 1.2 gallon pots. So im guessing the little ones started flowering quick because of the limited root space. Although from what ive seen most auto strains flower at 15-20 days. I know a few flower at the same time always, no matter what I do, if I feed bloom nutes or veg nutes .But I know the veg nutes will make the vegging plants get way bigger(as long as they havnt shown pistils), and if you give veg nutes to the flowering plants they seem to slow bud production, and start growing again. And the same goes for bloom nutes, feed a vegging plant bloom, and it seems to start flowering(sometimes), and give bloom to a flowering plant and bud growth explodes.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing as buster6571 with my Dr. FeelGood plants. Here the story, I have two Dr. Feelgood plants started the same day. Both plants are at 55 days today. Plant A (in a 2 gallon pot) has showed pre-flowers but hasn't started really developing buds at all. Plant B (in a 1 gallon pot) is fully into flowering.
How is your plant doing now Buster6571? Does anyone have any theories as to why the plant in the 2 gallon pot hasn't started budding yet? Pot size difference maybe? I am hoping it will in time but by 55 days I thought it should have at least started by now. Photos of each plant below.

midmAN4U IS PRETTY ON POINT WITH MATURING SLOWER UNDER CFL'S. oops didnt mean to yell lol and @madscientist id say its because plant b has reached its roots length in that small pot were as the plant A still has room to grow so shes gonna stay vegging until her roots have nowhere to go. once a plant starts flowering the roots stop growing vertical and just spend there time eating. next time try same size pots AND THEY should keep up with one another.

I don’t agree with the pot size I have grown in several different size pots and have not noticed much different in maturing time. I have grown Lowryder #1 in anything from 16 oz. solo cup to 2 gallon pot and it matures the same for me. I grew purple jem in a very small 8 oz. pot next to one in a 2 gallon pot and they matured within a few days of each other. I just harvested 3 Blue Himalayan diesel plants for seeds 1 in the 8 oz. pot and 2 in about 1/3 gallon pots and they all matured the same. The only difference I have noticed is a huge difference in size and yield. If my plants are pre flowering in 3weeks and fully budding in 4 weeks in an 8 oz. pot under 6 26W CFLs than I would point to genetics or averment stress like over fertilizing or temp issues.
