Okay fans arrived and so have my timers( i bought to cause one will inevitably break) im gonna run 19/5 from 7pm till 2pm try make use if off peak energy costs at Nite. Got it all set up making sure I've programmed the timer right. Doesn't appear any of the seeds have progressed any but i think im just being impatient. 2 show signs of a slight crack so il wait until im out of work tonite and probably just put them in their final homes with a small plastic cup over them all to keep the humidity up for them. I have my fan at a height so it blows over my light to keep it cool and should be enough air circulating to keep my babies dancing.

Sorry for all the constant posting im bored and anxious to see the babies grow 3 have cracked tiny taproot thought fuck it your all going in your pots its dark moist n warm so no difference between that and paper. Set up a wee 20w cfl just to give them something to aim for. When do yous think it would be safe to put my 250w cfl on em?

One Week I'd say!

Saying that, I've started Seeds under as 250w cfl as it's all i had to start with. Just don't fry it by getting the light too close.
After a few weeks you can move your light 3-4 inches away if you can get a fan blowing on it to keep it cool.

Try not to be too anxious with the early part of the grow - I found most errors and bad grows comes from over exuberance at the start (personally speaking anyway) - the need to fiddle with things.

These days, I pop a seed in moist kitchen towel, in a ziplock back, in a box, on a heat source (sky tv). I wait. And then 2 days later i go back and tails are out, seed ready to be dropped. Light water and dome it and leave it.

Cheers blue yeah I've gt the 250w hung about 10" away not plugged in atm got a wee 20w cfl just to get them going and my fan blows directly across the light and circulates air over pots. Yeah its alright when im working just being at home bored is the problem. At least il b working all through the weekend. So il gently start bringing in the big bulb a few days after their up il put it on an hour a day n work up. Yeah well 3 cracked so shoved em 1/4" down lightly covered with soil quick mist of water and put wee plastic party cups over them keep humidity up. So far lights off temps look about 18-20oC n lights on about 24-28oC but il keep checking. Just need my pH meter to appear now.

And yeah no fiddling just quietly watching over them cheers again Blue

Am I being paranoid?

Hey folks just need some reassurance about an hour ago i was walking to go get 2g of crap street weed at this guys house which is a 5min walk. I was half way there when a police van pulled up beside me and the two gentlemen asked if i was going home. Now sounds fair but i live in a smallish village in rural Scotland, kinda place everybody knows everybody. Now i only moved here 3 years ago and I've tried to stay relatively unknown apart from with people i can trust (mostly smokers) i have nothing on my criminal record apart from getting caught when i was 17 with 1/2 a joint which i paid my fine for so clean slate. When they asked where i lived i gave them vague area the other side of the village, nothing specific just a street. They asked where I'd been i replied "work" then got "are you a bar man? N i said "Nah im a chef at such n such a restaurant" thought I'd at least let them know i have a late finishing job and that i pay their wages and contribute to society. They left and i continued on my way but then they must have looped around and passed me again. I get to my guys house and tell my tale and get told there's a new police officer in charge who's making them do their job and harass folk n what not. So get my weed crotch it and get home.

Im just wondering if yous think im just being paranoid, they didn't see where i actually stay, didn't ask my name, didn't search me, didn't see where i actually went and the last direction they saw me go was the way i told them i stayed. Plus how could they know of the grow I've only told my trully trust worthy friend and that was yesterday. Plus there's still not even anything to see in the pots.

One other police officer comes for coffee where i work very friendly and says hello to me when he sees me so im gonna put some feelers out see what i can find out. Im probably just paranoid cause unfortunitly im in the UK where growing 'erb is a no no. Somebody reassure me i was so excited early today now I've got 3 months of worrying

I think you're being paranoid. It's not uncommon for some police to ask men walking alone at night where they've been and what they're up to, to get a feel of them and see if they're scouting around to do a break in / robbery or whatever

This was nothing to do with weed man , relax

I agree with HH, they were just doing their job. I think if you were walking about in that area at random times and such that they got used to seeing you they would tend to leave you alone. Prolly just establishing you as a resident. I would feel comfort knowing the local LEO was doing their job. If your cool and give them little to worry about then they will leave you alone and prolly wave at you as they drive by!

Cheers guys yeah just hit a para-wobble is all, just checked on beans no signs of life in the pots yet but i have patients plus im going to work which helps.

Still no sign of life temps still stable at 22oC they had the light waiting for them 18hours a day and still not one has broke the surface im trying not to worry but its getting hard. I think this is the longest I've waited for seeds to sprout :/
