Live Stoner Chat Drugs live - Cannabis on trail uk tv tonight

You can catch the whole thing on 4OD pengy :)

My favourite part (apart from the obvious question ... what if the hash is made from skunk?) was when they were describing the amount used.

Well .... it's 1/3 of a joint (obviously!) ..... who's joint??? lol ...

Then there was the even more obvious "where do you think this "hash" came from ... and was it even comparable matter or are you comparing a "low strength" to a "high strength" and saying "the high strength is stronger"

my my my

EP and Blue. Frustrating isn't it! Those that have a clue never make the show or are insulted as somehow inferior to those who don't know a thing about what they are actually supposed to be discussing. Kinda like me gettin into a formula 1 car and running a race cuz hey I've driven before. Here in America we keep getting the propaganda shows like "Pot Barons" and "Weed Country" etc... The media is handling this like one of those things that they can't get a handle on. Reality shows are popular, but the media can;t decide if they are for it or against it. The people are overwhelmingly for marijuana legalization, yet the wealthy businessmen who control media are against it. So who should a media outlet pander to for ratings? Why is it that we only elect idiots to govern us?

I just watched it, some bits certainly did make me laugh, and I was surprised that it didn't project a more negative attitude than it did. It was certainly entertaining to hear that some of the "test subjects" had heard about "skunk" in the media so had joined the trial to have a go at it. This really is prohibition at work, "There's this stuff called skunk that will fuck with your mind man, you can't have any because it's illegal." and there they all are lining up to try it.

I also noted with interest that the only two people who really spoke out against some kind of regulatory reform both make a living out of the prohibition system, a policeman and a judge type personage. I can't help feel that they were more concerned about their own job security. Their reasons were pretty entertaining too "It needs to be illegal because currently kids are selling it" and "It needs to be illegal because it's illegal". Whilst this is exactly the kind of argument we have all come to expect from the prohibitionist lobby I would have really hoped that they might have made a bit more effort for this occasion and come up with perhaps a single argument that wasn't utterly ridiculous.

I really loved the flower show bit, is there anybody that could give us a more detailed run down on the strains they had on display?

Watched it last night and agree 100% with what Dr Who has to say above, it was alot less one sided than i thought it was going to be, and apart from the standard tory ass lickers who are all like sheep and scared to stray from the flock most of the guests and test subjects were pretty open minded and sensible about what was said.

As for the copper and the judge mentioned above what a great arguments for criminalization, yeah all the kids on estates are selling it, well yeah you fucktard of course they are, because you have forced it underground and made it a black market business, something regualation and legalization would take out the hands of kids dealing, smugglers and organized crime networks, ask either them to show any evidence that legalization would increase the illegal trade and there is no chance that they could, as it has been proved in the past in the US with prohabition, that with the correct regualation the illegal black market trade can in a very short time be shutdown and be under full control, how big a business is the bootlegging of alcohol now compared to the 1920s and how often to you hear now of violent crimes linked to the distibution of alcohol by crime syndicates compared to back then, if thats the biggest arguments they have got then what a joke.

As for the poor kid who was the argument for the fact cannabis/skunk/hash/pot or whatever they feel like branding it is the cause of psychosis, i like the way they failed to mention that he most likely already have some underlying undiagnosed mental illness that was bought on by his use of cannabis, as in most cases of psychosis bought on by cannabis use, at the end of the day is the same as saying watching violent movies or playing video games is going to make you pick a gun and go on a killing spree, no it is not in 99% of cases and when it happens that 1% of the time the catyalyst is a undiagnosed mentally unstable individual and not what they are participating in that will cause it. Shame the only person to start to touch this was the ex dealer guest on the show and even then they did not expand much on it.

The stars of the show had to be the ex undercover copper with the giggles and the fantastic comment of i felt pretty good or something along those lines, respect to the guy and the first police officer who made me smile. Then good old Richard Branson i always quite liked the guy and respect him more now and think he could be a great weapon in the call for legalization in the UK.

Well damn that turned into quite a rant, sorry about that, at least now it is down in black and white before my skunk ridden brain presses that delete button and i forget all about it lol.

Tonight on channel 4 at 10 drugs live cannabis on trial. Channel 4 presenters apparently take cannabis live on tv. Im sure theyll manage to put a bad spin on it but hopefully some positives can be taken from it
It was so asinine.
The presenter smoked some pot and then took an mri scan and freaked out while stuck in the mri and spent the whole program prattling on about what a hellish experience smoking pot had been for him. A complete idiot.
