Harvest & Curing Drying in tent while still growing

Hello all I was just wondering if I would be able to dry in my tent while I'm still growing my Autos. The temperature is around 22 degrees C 70 degrees F and the humidity is 50%. If I can somehow put my buds in a light proof box I can't see how there would be a problem doing this so I can keep growing and keep drying at the same time. I don't have much space and I want to use my carbon scrubber and fans to remove the odor as I don't want to smell out my house. Would this be ok has anybody else out there done the same sort of thing and if so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Im planning on drying my upcoming harvest in brown bags hanged above the light in my tent. Brown bags are thick and shouldnt let enough light in to cause problems. I cant see why this drying setup wouldnt be great!

you can but I wouldn't recommend it... drying temps should be around 19c (66f) and below, in a dark room with the RH around 55-60% for the best results. The longer the hang dry the better the product. You want a minimum of 7 days on the drying time, I like to aim for 14 - 20 days if I can but I will settle for 10... Now if your temps are up in the 20's+ you will dry that bud in no time and it will taste like shit. The reason for the long dry time is to remove as much of the chlorophyll from the buds... remember that street weed you bought that tasted a little green, that the taste you want to get rid of and time / temps are the only answer.

I would not dry in a light proof box, air flow is ever so important. I'm not talk about a fan blowing a ton of air, you need a very small amount of air movement between the branches. My extraction fan does the job perfect with a passive intake. And if it's a large harvest I hook a small 6" fan near the bottom of the tent facing the wall on it's lowest speed for the first few days.

One thing you can do Is dry in brown paper bags in a closet or cupboard if you don't have the spare tent to dry in... personal I think paper bags dry the bud far to quick and you have more chance of imparting the hay smell on the bud (no air flow in a paper bag), I used to do this at the start of my growing but soon threw it out the window for hang drying. I found a massive difference on the end product, especial bag appeal... again I wouldn't put them in your tent with plants growing, heat and paper bags is recipe for dry crispy weed super super fast... I only recommend drying in paper bags when you have to... hang drying over long period and dry trimming gets the best result on locking in those turps in (that's is only my personal opinion).
