Harvest & Curing drying question

I am drying in brown paper bags that are inside a cardboard box. I would like to hang it so that I could look at it while it dries. . The only place I have to hang it is my grow room and the lights are on. My question is, do you have to hang in a dark room?

As long as it's dark inside the bags it's fine if they are in a light room ...

I did not explain that well. I am wondering if you can hang in a lighted room if the RH and Temps are good?

Light degrades THC so I wouldn't do it.

I don't think you'd want your buds hanging in a lighted room for days at a time, like Mr. Stoned said, light will degrade your THC

Another drying question. What RH should I be looking for when buds go from drying to curing? Right now my jar runs about 65% when I put bud in it and let it sit for 30 min.

Sunlight lowers thc level, not room lightning

No worries, just prevent the dust from laying on your buds. I prefer lower rh for curing, around 35-50%; 55-60% should be optimal.
Now I'm curing at around 35% with great results.

I believe you want to get your rh down to around 62% when curing, hence the Boveda 62 packs that are used so often during the curing process
