Late to the party here. Wow, you ate 2.5 grams of cob??? Holy bloody hell mate, most peeps would be comatose for days with 2.5 grams of that stuff. I have made cobs with Golden Tiger , ate about 2 1/2 grams , and sent me to another world , Very strong

@Cobstopper, thanks for posting this, I am going to have to give this a try after my next grow. Seems like fun. I wondered if you were using the dabpress, I have one, and will do the job that way too. Do you press it as hard as you would for rosin?

After processing a couple more plants I have a few helpful hints to add.
I have settled on pressing at 75% RH. The trichomes are less tacky and don’t stick to the Dabpress as bad as 80%.
I now only cut up enough flower to make one cob at a time. I load and clamp the cylinder. It takes me about 5 minutes to prep for another one. This time allows for better compaction. Photo below shows right one that was just removed from the press and left one that has had 5 minutes to loosen up.
I now clean both top and bottom contact points of the press after every cob to keep material intact.
When removing I use a sharp knife for an easy clean look.
