Duggys soil mix

Made up the Fermented Plant Juice...
Banana, carrot, squash and a handful of comfrey.
Added equal weight of brown sugar. Covered container with paper sheet held with elastic.
Will check level tomorrow... Will ferment for 7 days...
:Sharing One:

Checked pH of my TLO and compost by making a slurry. TLO was 6.6 and enriched compost 6.4..Will prep final mix this weekend..."AFN smoke out"

Although only prepared 1.5 hours ago the smell had already gotten sharp so seems to be getting to work rapidly..:Sharing One:

Duggy, quick question, I think I have a Cal issue, ordered some gypsum, but not here yet and it's worsening quick. I have hens so eggshells are abundant lol. Once I crush / pulverize the shells, do you just add to a top dressing and blend it in? Or is there a better way to get it to the plant? It seems kinda crude I dunno lol. I'm organic so I gotta avoid direct Cal/Mag. Sorry for the hijack, just would like your experienced input :)

Hey mate...unfortunately I lack experience too...
Cooking the eggshells should help them break down faster but top dressing will still take time to be effective... the method I am using takes a few weeks to be ready... Epsom salt will add Magnesium if needed and can be applied as foliar spray for faster effect. Someone may chime in with an effective cal solution but nothing beats correct preparation.. :Sharing One:

Yup yup, my own fault for not having a good Cal ammendment in place hehe :) Did the Epsom and plenty of Molasses. It's just on the fan leaves of the heavy flowering ones, so I think its just pulling nutes from the fan storage lol. I think anything organic at this point is too late, so I'll probably just let them ride it out. Fortunately for me, I have a much better soil mix cooking up for next round, and will have the gypsum and I'll throw in some cooked/pulverized eggshells too. Thanks :)

here ya go dude.maybe this can help ya out in the mean time till it gets ya sorted out next round maybe..?This is really effective and for autos and LED's ya might make it twice depending on yer specs n style ofcourse.but it helped me till I prepped my soil and a single cal mag product.so far so good anyways LOL! after baking n cooling I like to powder em with a pinch of gypsum(assuming i had any)n SOFT rock n a small slurry of my very silt heavy cal mag product and turn that in the ring n water in.should slap ya good failry soo.depending on your drainage and feeding intensity within your soil which Im unaware of soo..lol.be good guys.

Thankfully I used a large container for the CalPhos as it produced a lot of bubbly foam which would have overflowed a smaller container.. Majority of bubbling has already stopped...It is to be used as a foliar spray so should be beneficial for any Calcium issues encountered. Hopefully there will be requirement for these extra additives but I would rather be prepared..:Sharing One:

Finished mixing up soil blend as follows..
15L Perlite
12L TLO Compost (from start of thread)
9L Enriched Compost (40% fish)
6L Coco
6L Earth Worm Compost
1/2 cup Calcified Seaweed
1/4 cup Lime
Mixed and mixed...made up some tea with EWC, Molasses and a few dry bunny droppings from the garden to moisten with tomorrow and let sit until needed in around 2 weeks.
