I got the pH pen and pH up and down , however no TDS meter I just make sure I feed her less than recommended and keep her topped up , I know I should have got one and wouldnt recommend anyone to not use one but I was just keeping things simple for a first run

Not having a ppm pen is dangerous.
You might get burnt/orange leaf problems from over-feeding if you don't know ppm.
Most nute manufacturers recommend over-feeding to increase their profits at the expense of our plants.
Following their recommendations is almost certain to lead to nute burn and sub-optimal harvests in many dwc systems.

Hard to believe but hes right. I grew a northern lights auto at half strength flora trio and yielded 6.5oz with no burns or deficiencies

I'm a firm believer for beginner hydro enthusiasts to start with recirculating continuous feed (squirting halos not drippers) clay balls and perhaps some perlite or wool (as a bit of a safeguard for water retention if somthing goes wrong with a pump etc)

I use cloth pots and have a dwc element now but used to grow 2x 1lb photos in garden sieves filled with clay balls in a tray over a 60lt res in a 1.5 x 1.5 space with 1k HPS

DWC is awesome and relatively easy but not very forgiving! Aero is worse tho.

I'm using a powergrow basic dwc system from Amazon. $40 comes with a pump, tubing, rockwool, medium, and stone. It looks greenleaf mega crop for nutrients. Mephisto forum stomper seeds. What's your opinion?

I keep forgetting you can by a system these days!

Yeah should be fine, consider the performance of the pumps, airstone and diameter of the lines. These are probably only just adequate. You may wish to upgrade some of these items after your first grow.

Electromagnetic pump, larger airstones etc.

I'm used to rolling my own it never occurred to me to buy a system!

Yeah I figured the accessories it comes with aren't so great but we'll try them for the first grow. Super excited to get started. Germination will begin on friday hopefully. I hope to start a journal on here and reddit

I would add a second air pump and put them on a ups battery.
