Extraction E-Liquid Tincture

Hey guys, I said in a earlier post that I was going to start messing with E-cig rigs to get my effects. I want to switch to this so I am not constantly smoking, I love a good joint like the next guy(or gal) on here, but I am aware of the bad things that come with smoke inhalation, SO "vape pens" or E-Cigs was my answer. I tried making a tincture similar to green dragon; I used 1/8 of quality herb and I did more of a qwiso hash extraction with 3 oz. of 150 proof food grade alcohol. I then let this evaporate to a little less than 1 oz. of liquid. I added this into a store bough E-Liquid (banana cream pie mixed with butterscotch (zero nic)...mmmmhhhh) and I got a really creamy get tasting smoke, with no effects. I am using a Gentlemans brand Tincture Tank ( http://www.gentlemansvapes.com/products/gentlemans-tincture-tank ) and it started to flood (liquid getting inhaled or nearly being inhaled) I would sometimes get a taste of herb then almost instantly gone. I was upset this didnt work, but I plan to evaporate off all the unmixed tincture to get qwiso hash. So I went back to the drawing board. I am not breaking new ground on this E-Liquid thc matter so a lot of what I have done was research. I read many of forums with extremely scattered results from every forum, and no concrete recipes found, except one. I have NOT tried Badkat's recipe yet, but I am going to soon as funds allow. I thought I would share this now and not keep it to my self until I tested it, because I know here on AFN someone could use it immediately :karma Cloud::dance:. Badkat also covers flavoring of the liquid, Ill try and dig this up later on..

:howdy: First let me say I'm not an expert on this, this is just what I have noted and this post is to try and help out the people who have no vape pen or E-Cig experience..
Well all this talk of what goes in these vaporizer pens or E-Cig and not a whole lot of talk about the unit its self. You have 2-4 parts on these pens, this consist of battery, one of the various methods of holding and vaping this liquid via coils. The older style had more parts so I noticed (like Badkat used) and the newer styles are compact and a bit more user friendly, but most are not serviceable, the more advanced ones are. The Batteries, these can be found pretty cheap on Fleabay, the battery threads are what really separate the different brands of vape pens. Remember chargers are generally sold separate (for around $4 shipped)
Okay you have your power source you need to have something to puff on! Cartomizer, Atomizer, clearomizer, tanks, it seems like they have a million different terms for these (still confuses me a bit lol) and they all more or less do the same job. Just remember you want to try and stay with quality build materials like glass and stainless steel instead of china plastics...
With a these items you have a budget vape set up!

I too have read a lot on this, and it seems to get consistanly good vape liquid, you need to make something like BHO, then homogenize it with the Eliquid of choice. A blender won't do it a commercial homogenizing machine is very expensive, I think a cheap one was close to $300. Otherwise the canna oil will not stay suspended in the liquid. All the other recipes including Bad Kitty's require you to inhale quite a bid of vapor to get the effects. Not sure its worth the effort really. I'd consider getting a pen that will vape some type of honey oil without the added elquid. As I don't really don't smoke in public, I'm going to settle for a home vape unit, like the Extreme Q. Maybe a MFLB for outside recreation lol.

I'm going through a bit of a concentrate faze atm and I'm planning on making some Propylene Glycol (food grade) tincture. This is the stuff used in many E-cig liquids so the theory is you could make a tincture by infusing your concentrate of choice (BHO/QWISO/and so on), add a little of your favourite flavoured e-liquid and then simply fill the pen and vape away.

I've also read using vegetable glycerin mixed with the propylene (30:70) works well but it separates after time so you need to shake the pen before vaping. On the plus side it sweetens the vape and produces a thicker cloud.

Just to note, though Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin are used in many things, vaping them may eventually turn out to be hazardous to your health when inhaled so just tread carefully. Saying that though, it's certainly better for you than tobacco

i wonder if this works with dry sift and VG?
will it dissolve on a gravy warmer as maybe i could try a small test batch in a couple months using mini mason jars and make like 20ml only?

when i get my mb i want to run 1oz of sift into 1 cup of vg but only if it works for sure
