SSSC Earthbox Jr. Auto Bruce Lemon Diesel

Day 47
  • 073571F2-2883-4C94-BBC8-0A6DAFBEA787.jpeg

Filling back out nicely, a bit of pistil damage from my manipulation, and maybe from me stupidly adding dry amendments while the fan was on, typically I add granular but these roots organics are powder and I’ve learned my lesson. I don’t think anything bad will come of it so a good easy lesson… fans off

    Day 53
  • All seems well except for maybe somehow she was pollinated? I don’t get how as she is in a tent with another plant who is clearly rocking virgin pistils.

These look pollinated to me, but if you read earlier posts I mention maybe having caused pistil damage during training but these pistils have popped since then and turned too all while other girls are in tent just fine

Yet right beside her is this Mephisto Sour Crack

    Day 62
  • All is well, a few more weeks to go. Her pistils continue to turn orange on the tip as if pollinated while 6 Mephisto ladies in tent have clean white pistils on the new growth. Probably just finicky pistils but time will tell if she hold seeds, hoping not as she is a large part of my planned smoke stash for the summer. She sucked the res dry faster than I thought and went dry which accounts for her losing color I think. I top dressed a thin layer of heavily amended soil and top watered it in then filled the res:baked: she drains her water as fast as the ladies in 1g pots in tent with her. Maybe ABLD is a candidate for a regular Earthbox run

She chose the branches from node two and went crazy, the branches are each thicker than the upright main stem above

    Day 70
  • Auto Bruce Lemon Diesel is amazing, if you haven’t tried her please do. I gave her a little trim to remove faded leaves and opened up the canopy to more airflow for this last stretch of flower. Imagine eating a Lemon ups Girl Scout cookie while pumping gas and that’s her terp profile. I brushed my forearm against a bud while trimming and my arm hair is uncomfortably stuck to my arm. Fade coming in hot

Could have removed a few more nodes on each branch to stop the lowers from being fluffy, but I’ll vape the larf so no loss there.

I’m thinking atleast another week before chop as she isn’t showing much amber yet but you can see it transitioning. opinions appreciated

The roots were impressive, though the top was dry and the res was full so I may consider that in future EBjr runs and top water more. The mounding made this a PITA when I tried
    2BDB2AB3-BD2E-432D-96D2-512A87F889A5.jpeg

Emptied and cleaned the EBjr. I’ll let it dry overnight and then fill and transplant a seedling I already have of another strain. Update on the weed drying as it progresses :pass:

    Harvest
  • 7 days post chop and she was ready to be trimmed and bagged. A total of 137.7g. 20g of that being fluffy that I will be smoking now as I am out of flower otherwise. I put 29g in each 1oz grove bag and added a size 8 62% boveda pack to the bottom of each grove bag and tried to leave as much head space air as possible when closing. Update in a few weeks with a smoke report, and hopefully later after these bags cure if I don’t smoke it all really quick

I cut all the best tops off first so they are buried in this shot and we see mid buds but it’s frosty and sticky

Buds will be checked tonight and if they need it they will be pulled and brown bagged then repacked. After losing some weed to budrot during dry/cure I’m ever diligent and would almost rather smoke overly dry weed if it ever happens again :crying:
