eco smart pesticide

anybody use this i developed a thrip and fungus gnat problem. i watered the plants with 1 part hyd perox to 4 parts water to kill the larvae and sprayed them with eco smart. the leaves started really wilting so sprayed them with water to get extra off the leaves. i also bombed the room with a pyrethrum fogger, any other suggestions, thanks

worked great on bugs but really burnt plants would NOT reccomend!

Unless the fungus gnats are real bad a strip of fly paper will usually take care of them. The flying adults will stick to it and if they have already laid eggs and new ones hatch, they will also get trapped by the fly paper. Usually neem oil will take care of the thrips.

thanks muddy i was overzealous.. i have sticky traps ordered and soil and water ph testers on the way also. i will be able to post more concise info in the future

Also, since you have treated your soil.. and as a preventative measure, you could cover your top layer of soil with a layer of gravel, or sand, even leca, 1 cm is plenty. The gnats won't realise there is soil under that layer and will not bury down to lay their eggs. The larvae are the big problem not the gnats. If you do this, and hang a flypaper, problem will be solved pretty quickly since you will effectively have sterilized the population

I should mention that this method is no good for airpots since the gnats will go in the side holes.

I've said it a lot and will keep preaching it lol since ordering Neem meal/cake (from www.neemresource.com who's been a friend to the cannabis community) and incorporating it into my soil mix and top dressing, I haven't seen a single bug! The gnats dwindled down over a week and never returned. As a bonus, Neem meal is both a light organic fertilizer and some of the essential oils apparently get uptaken into the plant and keeps away other bugs by default! FYI Neem sounds like a toxic chem but it's just anything from the Neem tree native to India No more bugs!
