Alright Guys, i recently just joined, I have an enquiry.
I’ve purchased a viparspectra 900w covering a 5x4 area over 6plants.
Only just found out the lights have a low red spectrum and will be returning them.
I am now looking to switch to cobbs and need a little guidance on how many or if so how to build them.
Thanks.

Interesting how you ended up here and on the cobshop.net discussion board. Stroke of good luck I'd say. With just one post you'll gain a great deal of advantage or benefit when it comes to lighting.

I would recommend you buy as many of the 3500K autocobs as you can up to 6. One per plant. Or if you have DIY aspirations and skills then there are lots more options. But if you want to buy plug and play quality lighting the little individual autocobs are excellent value for money. You can pay more if you want but why bother? Been hanging out here for 6 months or so, and its quite amazing to see how many members here have cobshop.net autocobs or some other cob light and how good the grows are. And of course there are other tangible benefits.

www.cobshop.net is where I bought my cobs, like many others and I am impressed with their performance. One cob per plant is the way to go. I did one cob for two plants test and it was fine, but I felt it lacking just a bit, so one cob per plant is the sweet spot.

Ahhh man I’m late to the party. Welcome @DelRy what was the actual wall wattage of the viper? If your looking for similar par wattage I can assist in a comparable cob wattage, or consider going with one light per plant.

It’s only a matter of time!
