I’ll grow it out sooner or later.
My understanding is it’s a Swiss indica with a strawberry smell and flavor. Early finish cause of it’s origins. Well have to see what she does. Maybe I’ll hit her with some auto pollen and see what comes of it. And perhaps take a clone and reverse it to self it to have more.
Yes it is Swiss and has famously hard nugs. In fact that is what made it so popular around the wet parts of Europe because the rain would quite literally not be able to penetrate the nugget buds. The size and density of the nugs combined with the faint strawberry smell you could get from the good phenos (and there are one or two really good ones in there) gave it the nickname erdbeere which means strawberry.
In regards to this cross of yours being semi-auto I don't think so since erdbeere is more of an easily triggered plant like a lot of the danish ones are, 18/6 or the faintest restriction of roots and they go into flower.

This is good news as I don’t want a photo so I’ll run 24 for a while and drop to 20 see if I can trigger flower. Maybe I’ll run it when I have some fem pollen of a gold glue for more auto/easier to flower and extra potency and trichome production.
You know what would be cool? Crossing it with an auto Northern Lights of top quality. C99xNL has produced some of the best I've seen (Joey Weed, Canadian breeder with a superb skill for picking out parents and making the best c99 and a11 crosses and F2's). Would be cool to have it in a semi-auto quick version, and then you could also take it to full auto version, should make for some huge ass plants considering the size of the Erdbeere99, vigour of c99 and fine pedigree of making crosses that NL has.
You could also do a cross with Green Poison FV (Fast Version). Look at the thread their moderator made about it, we are talking 40 days flower, and I actually think that is from flip, not showing. Not certain about that but read up on them. Would make an awesome Quick type strain, outdoor and indoor. But from what I know from Erdbeere from the Danish breeder and growers, and they've had it since creation and got it stable with a lot of crosses also, it isn't auto at all, not even very easily triggered for 52n+. So if the one who made cross had that as a meaning he either got an auto line of Erdbeere, or it is an Erdbeere crossed to an auto C99.
It is crossed to an auto c99. I was given more info on it. F1 between the two. Should be a fun plant to play with I think I will use a auto NL as u mentioned and look at sweet seeds green poison fast also.
