I've been lurking on here for a while now and thought I'd pop in and say hi.
I'm not a particularly heavy smoker, I usually smoke some hash from my collection from morocco, pakistan and india once or twice a week, however, once that runs out I won't be able to source anymore so grimmacing at the thought of going back to street dealers for shit weed, I started growing a few seeds on my windowsill as a "fuck it, lets see how it goes" experiment. After 3 weeks of very little growth, we're talking a node a week here, I decided to get a LED light (Mars 450w reflector), since then growth has exploded (relatively speaking) on the plants, so I've decided to invest further into a grow set up which will be based in my loft. I should have a small 0.5x1x1.8m tent arriving this week, I can't say I'm particularly fussed about the outcome of this grow, but I will be doing the next one to the best of my abilities, using biobizz nutrients as they're organic.
Heres a picture of my dinafem white widow xxl at day 40/45ish.

When are you planning to reduce light hours per day exposure to trigger preflower stage?

Thanks briman, I've been following the site for a few weeks now and have researched this particular niche of horticulture to the death, but nothing beats experience and of course bespoke advice from the pros, which is why I've decided to make myself known. I'm fairly confident that I can do this, my only worry is my environment; being in the loft I know I'm going to have problems with temperatures in the winter, but I'm hoping a small heater inside the tent will keep things in the right range.

And dingo, this is dinafems auto white widow xxl, pistils have started popping up just this week, which is a lot later than I expected, but I think that maybe the plant delayed flowering due to the suboptimal conditions that it started in. I'll be adding biobizz bloom along with the grow next feed at 1ml/L and 2ml/L respectively. It's nice to see some actual progress though.

Congrats on new led and tent windows just don't cut it.
Great to hear about your WW's explosive growth under your LED definitely the way forwards.
Stuff street dealer in a perfect world everyone would grow their own, you deciding to grow you own weed is just one more step towards a that.
Tube heaters are inexpensive You can also buy a thermostatic plug socket on ebay for about £17 last time i looked.
Get a grow journal started and any help you need people will be sure to lend a hand plus it will nice to have a look at you WW's

nice intro pal. Good to see you got the growing bug. We are here to help but I guess you will do just fine. If you put a heater in a tent, make sure you stick a smoke alarm in there too.
