I have tents with both of those sizes. First thing you wanna do is calculate hthe needed cfm for your space. My 3x3 is 3x3x7. To find the needed cfm, multiply 3 by 3 (9), times that by 7 (63).. Then divide that by 3 (the number of times you want to replace the air per minute). . You'll get 21 cfm needed to completely replace the air 3 times a minute. It's a little less for the 4x2 space. A 4in inline fan will be way more than enough for either space. Just get a speed controller and a good carbon filter. They all do the same thing and use the same Australian carbon. Don't over spend or get equipment that is overkill for your space.

That’s right but you got it backwards. You take the 63 and multiply by 3. You need a fan that can move 189 cfm.

Lol, we are both a little off. It's been a while since I used the calculation. So the correct formula is HxLxW, that number is multiply by the number of times you want to move the air per minute. 1 is the minimum recommendation, 3 is the common. This new number you divide by 60 (seconds) to get the cfm. So for a 3x3x7 the correct calculation would be 3x3x7(63).. 63 x 3 =189.. Divide 189 by 60 to get cfm needed. So for my 3x3 it would be 3.1 cfm, not 21. Lol. Either way. Most inline fans will be overkill for smaller grow tents without a speed controller.

I agree!

Lol. Im online looking at the equations now and just confused the hell out of myself! :crying:
Haha — it’s all good. The air pumps always confuse me — posting their shit in Liters/minute and gallons/hour. I’m too lazy to make those calculations.
