Indoor F1 FV Jack47 grow-log from week 3 1/2

Aint that a peach.
Thank you for your efforts Mr.Alien man and here are some MJ photos for those big eyes of yours. (lol):
Week 6 now. Leaves are turning quite yellow on the new developers. Hairs are slowly slowly forming I believe.
The PH is aimed for 5.8~6.0 and turns to 6.8 on run-off.
Just found out non-hydro's need 6.3~ Should I aim for 6.0~6.3 when adding water?
I also added a tad bit of salt deposit cleaner, and a few drops of this other electrolyte-peroxide stuff for the minor salt build-up I had(Didn't add any other nutrients at that time. Also the roots were at 25C and I carelessly put 18C water.
Hope these girls will make it through strong.
Go Jack GO!!!

6.5 to 6.7 is really best....... you should really get a probe it has made my life 100% easyer when it comes to PH.....

Rough Calculation Guide:

Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5

The Accurate8 soil probe is the bomb, BTW. Long enough to allow you to check the pH of different levels in the pot, that represent different moisture levels. :) (Even in your pots ;)

Will do! Thanks a bundle.
I'm gonna make sure I got all the gadgets by next round.
Gave both girls some good 6.2ish PH which comes out 6.8ish sooo that means...Ughhh x-(
Some good ol nutrients that seems like what they were lacking; Probably because first I thought they were auto-autos....dope!
They're in their pre-flower stage I believe?
I gave them more bloom than grow this time.... Have a feeling it was too early? Regardless, I'm stoked they're back in the evergreen spectrum.
Will post pictures tomorrow on the new development.

(hopefully we'll have some new freakin hairs!!! Aughhh

Hello Hello;
Didn't really feel like taking the photos since there wasn't much development....
Getting some new hair here & there but nothing severe, and the leaves turned to their proper color.

I also realized I should change the lights to the red spectrum now....?
Also, the leaves have stopped growing, but the stems are getting longer & longer. (tooo long)
Is this a normal thing in the flowering process, or does it have to do with temperature/RH?
Couldn't really find any info on it... please help.... ;-/

mmkay so a few things have came up:

1. the Plants grew tremendously in the last 3 days. (3~6inches)
Realized I needed to get rid of the blue spectrum bulbs and I switched them with some reds.

2. Flower development has been slow but now all the bud sites have 2 hairs poking out.

3. the one most bottom branch was not showing the whites and was turning all weird like, so I thought about cutting it off and try cloning it.
(Which I did)
Then today I did some research, and supposedly its going to mess up my yield tremendously now....
The clone is mostly likely dead also at this point.....

4. Since the flowering is going to take over a month, I'm getting really depressed about the heatwave coming soon.
I'm just going to have to leave my air-conditioning on all day.... ;-/

I'm getting super irritated at this point but yea... I'll have to try and stay focused.
Promise to take pictures next time I'm at work.

Man I wish I had the auto's as intended....

:cuss:

6 weeks of veg, 1st week of flower (49th day)

Hey Y'all;
I believe I'm at day 4 of flower and week 6 of veg (Way too long).
Everything seems all good except that when I was adjusting the room, I bent a few branches (on accident) and took the undeveloped top off one of the plants.
Started lifting the bottom branches and hooking them (twisting them) onto higher branches so they grow upwards. (Hope that's kosher?)
Regardless, I suppose everything is OK, especially since I hooked up my air-conditioner to the grow room.
I also decided to go dual-spectrum during flowering until the last 2 weeks or so.
Got some pictures for my update.

Please share your thoughts and any advise will be splendid.

2nd week of flower (Total: 55 days)

Hear ye hear ye;
Finally getting them hairs I've been waiting for.... :foxy:
I seriously need to get some fully auto strains for the next batch.
Waiting for like 3~4 months to smoke just sucks.

Anywhom, everything seems to be alright in controls length.
My RH is about 40~70 which is meeeh but cant really do much about it.
The summer is just going to cook these keisters in July I can feel it.... ;-/
Oh well.

P.S. clone didn't root & died....

Note: I tied down the main canopy shoot with some nylon string. photo 5.jpgphoto 2.jpgphoto 1.jpgphoto 3.jpgphoto 4.jpg

Sorry the pictures are sideways.... ;-/
Ciao

Quick note:
As I was doing my daily inspection, I came to find out the calyxes (white hairs) have frizzled up and disappeared on the main stem.
(The first 2 that poke out in the beginning) Did some looking about on the web and couldn't quite find what I was looking for...
Is this fore-tale that the rest of the hairs on the colas will turn out like this as well? :help:

I also came about this RH argument on what is best during flowering and found out 60~70% humidity isn't bad during flowering (except the last 2 weeks) unless I have good air circulation. Cheers for that!

I will post pictures tomorrow about the main stem.... kind of clueless on this one....

Day 17 of flower.

Not sure what I was blabbering about yesterday because the calyxes were out 'n about when I checked again.
Things are looking fabulous! :dance2:
I also realized my girl has a super nice camera I can use to get them exclusive shots. ;-P
For now, here are the sideways Iphone photos as usual:
