It does look more like thrips after looking them up! The liquid lady bug baths seems to have stopped them in there tracks though. It has made me super nervous about more pests any recommendations on pest prevention products?
I like Montgomery spinosad, it's death on thrips and other pests that have a larva stage. I've used it as a root drench when I've had root aphids and it's worked well for that. It's actually made from a bacteria that was found in some I think it was whiskey barrels rum barrels what it was on an old abandoned Caribbean rum Distillery. Anyway, it doesn't seem to harm people are anything but little tiny soft body bugs.
In the United States I like SM 90 and I actually use it in every nutrient mix. It helps the plants get nice and big and grow real robust in smaller quantities just water directly in. But if needed, in real high quantities, you can spray it on the plant and use it for bugs like spider mites and some of your tougher to kill bugs. It used to be labeled spider mite 90, but it was from California and they didn't like the pesticide label so now it's marketed as a wetting solution.
I have a small bottle of Nukem sitting in my grow room it's about the only organic spider mite control that I've heard works well. When I originally bought it I figured if I ever got spider mites I would alternate between that and the SM 90. Now I have enough cannabis on hand to where I'd just throw everything out, bomb my room and start all over again. Funny thing is that Nukem looks suspiciously like the Mite wash that I used to buy for poultry. Probably what is.
Thanks for the info jingo! Will be picking up something as a preventative rather than waiting to find a issue from now on.
Update day 21!!
I'm blown away at how fast these things are growing! Still have one that is well behind the others but it will be interesting to see how it performs. Other plants are almost as wide as my bucket but not getting to talk yet. Fed them root drench again this week and plan to do plain water til I start easing them into nutes next week! Getting more excited every time I unzip the tent!
This should be good! Big tents and big pots usually equal big plants! The fast buds GSC has several phenos so its gonna be fun to watch! You probably wont have two plants that grow or look the same!
