haha..that would be cool animal..squiddy, i wish i could help you more with lowering soil/soilless ph, but ive only had issues with having to raise it~
Wiz is definitely a Wizard that is for sure, and that's all I will say on the matter.
Oh so wise Muddy man. How I love your advice, it makes me feel at home. Not to discredit the rest of you. JM you have given me much solid advice on many matters. As well as the Captain and Jackal. Everyone is such a great help.
I'm all figured out though I believe. Knowing more about how the sulfur works and why gives me a good understanding on my case. For one, the initial water I used(6.3) was a little low to start I think. And since the sulfur obviously isn't a necessity, but is already purchased and does help with some insect problems, etc. So, I am going to just use a pinch or so(measured out on digital scales, not just completely winging it here, folks) per container. That way it won't lower the ph much and get some other added benefits. Cha-ching. And I'll use 6.5-6.7 water instead of 6.3.
Now with all this being said I amstill going to be testing all of this to make certain I am on point. I refuse to not do my prep work and done well before I even put seeds in. Not gonna happen. I made basically all of the nube mistakes my first time and that shit is for the birds. So I am being much for methodical and thought out now, and with confidence. All thanks to you guys and my crazy brain I have.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by, I will indeed keep you updated on my further tests and developments. Sorry this has been off course from the actual grow. I'll do a update with pictures later today.

I really appreciate that JM. It means a lot coming from you. I'm just ready to get started on my second run so that I can use my said gained knowledge and start getting the results that I want...and beyond.
Hey folks. Got a little update goin' down for anyone who cares.
I decided to transplant my three girls...yet again. They had all turned around from being in the cups with the shitty soil mix (from the beginning) after I transplanted them a few weeks ago into Jiffy starter mix and added perlite. I couldn't find what I wanted when I needed to transplant then so I thought that mix would be ok. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't very good either, although it did help them a lot, especially the Critical Mass. She is still doing rather good considering.
The Afghan Kush Ryder and Cream Caramel sorta halted life again after a week or so. All of them were still taking forever to dry out because of it still being surrounded by that shitty old soil, even though it had a somewhat better mix around it. I still couldn't get a lock on the ph so they just got frozen in carbonite again.
So about an hour ago, I ever so careful pulled them out of their homes and while holding them with one hand, I knocked off almost all of the mix, including the original soil that was right around the girl. I was really careful not to tear any roots and got all that I could off off the roots without messing them up. Then I put them in other 1 Gal pots with Promix BX that had been pre-moistened earlier today with ph 7.05 water with juuuust a little GO Bio Root, Grow and a very small amount of the Black Diamond to get the herd going. After I put them in their fresh new homes I gave each another shot of the mix. I did the three pretty quick considering how delicate the transplant was and that I am healing with a once broken neck, haha.
They're back in the tent to recover. I decided not to take pics tonight like I said I would. Sorry, but I was kinda tired of doing stuff with my neck after that and they needed to get back in the tent asap. I checked the runoff from a cup of Promix with the 7.05 instead of the 6.3 and the runoff was 6.3, so they should really love their new home and turn around great in a few days. I am hoping to see that they are still ok in the morning before I leave for the day. Going to my fiancee's family reunion tomorrow so everybody be good while I am away
keep on truckin' bro. let cap's fruity pebble be an inspiration to ya! and have fun at the family reunion~ciao! (pronounced chow!) not sure if you spoke italian..lol
Hey Squid! How old are they now? Never tried promix myself,i'm still an ffof guy, just learned how to tweak it to work for me. They should like their new home and hope they put out for ya.
Check this out. The Critical Mass is 51 days old and the other two are 48 days old. lol. And if/when they turn around again the AKR and CC haven't even started flowering yet and the CM has just started a couple days in, so they still have weeks left. I'll probably finish these girls around 80 days still. haha
