Its not beautiful, but works great and puts out some decent light...

Used old PC fans that came with heat sensors so they would automatically adjust to case temps. I cut those off and was able to wire in a POT to adjust fan speed, kinda neat. Light intensity is also adjustable, anything less than half brightness I can basically turn the fans off.

I wired in a 1A fuse with the cobs, in case things get out of hand. Full power (700mA) these cobs should be about 46% efficient, half power about 52%.

I havent measured, but full power lights and fans should use <165 watts.
Cobs = 60
heatsink = 35
power supplies = 60
Fans = free
Cob holders = $6
POTs = $3
Misc = maybe 15 (wago, wire, screws, shrink tube, fuse holder etc)
Total cost was about $180, not too shabby.

very nice dude drop us a link when your growing under them would love to follow along and take a big old :slap: for sharing:pass:

Great build. And around $1 a watt for high efficient cobs is half what a light costs to buy so a great savings. It'll definitely grow some lettuce. :D those 90cri 3000ks are gonna be great for anything that flowers too. :joy:

:growing:

Haha, yeah Im guessing they would be.... I mounted one of the lights in a shelving unit this weekend. Ill have to snap a few pics and post them once I get plants in there. Got some kale, lettuce and spinach in rockwool starters now.
