Grow Mediums First DWC grow Pineapple kush

Just now starting DWC was going to grow Thai fantasy but it still hasn't got here so I'm just going to start a seed I got in a bag of pineapple kush so It'll ending up being a photo but I'll do my best. I started germinating like 2 days ago and cracked open today so I just put it in the rockwool cube a few minutes ago under 2 23w daylight cfl's

Btw do I have to clean the hydroton or something because I read somewhere that you have to clean it before you use it

Yes rinse and repeat several times, until the water runs out clear.

Can I just use hot water to clean it?

If its new hydroton yes, when you reuse it clean with some water and hydrogen peroxide.
