Indoor First Grow 2x4 Tent 600 W HPS

Most definately dude, aim yourself to the teeth. If you've seen two your already at war. If I remember correctly it takes 30 days for eggs to hatch, trying to eliminate the problem mid-grow is almost pointless as you'll still be killing them at harvest date.

Burn their homes down :firedevil:

Good way to get rid of them if your able to move your grow is to take the plants outside and let the pots dry out almost completely in the sun, not enough to harm your plants but enough to get rid of the little critters. Fastest way I seen of removing them yet. They just seem to vanish.

I noticed a gnat ortwo flying around my struggling CJ yesterday.I just introduced alot of coco to my tent aso, which fungus gnats apparently love... Hopefully it doesnt become a problem. The sns 203 eliminates the eggs? I should probably start arming myself now before the problem gets worse

I've heard neem oil or sns 203 will both get rid of them quickly. You should definitely do something now because they multiply like hell. Also, another organic option I read about was a homemade of habanero pepper juice and water. Apparently it's so spicy it kills them but doesn't harm your plants at all lol. Ill get the little fuckers somehow.

I'm at war for sure. Ill kill them all! I hope they don't last the whole harvest. I had a big grow in the past get infested but we didnt do anything to treat it. My wife will go crazy if I dont get rid of them soon lol. I've also heard of another solution. It's like a type of rock you put on top that cuts them up when they surface. It's starts with a D but I can't remember the name.

Unfortunately going outside is not an option. I have just been able to increase my light from 300watts to 600watts. I'm going to try and space my water out after the treatment of SNS. Hoping I can bake them out with my light.

Thanks for all the advice!

I took the time out to read this whole thread, good stuff. The girls look real healthy too - I got another weapon of mass destruction you can utilize for your war with The Gnats lol. Have you tried mixing dish soap & vinegar? Apparently Gnats (or fruit flies, I'm not too sure of there difference since people use the terms interchangeably) are attracted to the smell.

Personally, I took an empty Arizona Iced Tea bottle (already fruity scented), mixed the two half & half and added some chopped up pieces of banana peel skin at the bottom just to attract them better - sat back and WATCHED THEM DROWN. You can add saran wrap over the opening of the bottle, wrap it around with a rubber band, then poke holes at the top so they can crawl in. They either can't find their way out or they drown. Maybe set it around the pots as well, so you can catch the ones that aren't directly landing in or around your plants. I had 7-8 gnats flying around my room out of no where.. after i did a quick Google search on how to get those lil fucks to stop bugging me, I found out they can seriously get out of hand, FAST. so...they had to go. Next day, they was all gone.

Thanks for stopping by! I will definitely be adding your tea bottle traps to my arsenal once the battle begins lol. Waiting for my damn sns first so I can throw everything I've got a once to hopefully annihilate them all! :D

Update Day 24:

They are really taking off now! Almost all the plants are showing sex now. 1 more week and ill be flipping to HPS. Still haven't gotten any string yet. Hoping to today so I can start LST'ng before they get too big.

My bagseed plants aren't soon great. I'm sure that's just because they need to be transplanted badly. Still waiting for my friend to take them. I'm sure they'll recover nicely once they're transplanted though.

Hopefully my sns will be here soon and then I can put an end to these damn gnats.

I'm taking my nutes very slowly. I've seen some very small/minor brown spots on a few leaves. Thinking it might be a slight nute burn. Ill post a few pics of the spots to get your guys opinion.

I've also tucked a few leaves to give the branches more light.

This should prove to be a very interesting week. Thanks for following everyone!

Here's a few pics of some of the brown spots I've noticed. Im thinking nute burn but if anyone thinks its something different please let me know. Also catch one of the gnats in the pic by accident. Guess someone can at least confirm this is a fungus gnat now? Lol Ill post a group pic later.

I don't think that is nute burn. Burn starts at the very narrow tip of the leaf, and works its way inward. I think that may be the onset of a slight deficiency / under feeding perhaps. Which one, I couldnt tell you... It is certainly possible considering you hadn't been feeding them much, and soil tends to react slightly slower. They look healthy though, I would just keep an eye on it and see if it progresses, and it should be easier to diagnose if it is a problem.

Thanks for the tip! I'm thinking it might be a cal/mag deficiency. I have been putting 1tsp per gal of molasses but I didn't add it to my last feeding and I haven't been using epsom salt. Tonight I'm going to feed them with 1/4tsp epsom salt per gallon and 1tsp molasses.

.

I finally got some string so I will be posting some pics later tonight of my first attempt at LST.

I also created a gnat trap per OG'a advice. My daughter had a leftover Hawaii punch bottle so I figured I'd give it a try. I left a little juice in it still, added vinegar, and dawn dish soap. I also put Saran Wrap over the top and poked holes it it. We'll see how it works tonight.

This epsom salt I got wasnt plant specific but I'm assuming its fine seems how it's 100% magnesium sulfate.

30 more minutes for the lights to turn on. I literally wait outside the tent every night just waiting for them to turn on lol :D
