Indoor First Grow 2x4 Tent 600 W HPS

That sounds fine running em at that schedule, I don't have experience with MH or T12's at all, I'm only used hps, and saying that I'm only on grow number 2, I did research the shit out of it 18 months before sewing any seeds tho so I'd have some head for it :) you'll do just fine with the t12 anyway, it's all about the HPmuthafuckinS lights man for top notch results and yes I totally understand hoe everybody contradicts eachother online, best thing to do is just figure out what works for you or if you have the time research the shit out of everything.

Good movr taking the wrap away from them too, as soon as they break the soil you can remove it, just keep humidity levels up and you'll breeze through the seedling stage, i usually spray feed em the same amount as you're doing, maybe a light 250-300ml of water every few days, you don't want the roots missing out of that sweet water action, you can start adding nutes at day 14ish when the plant has established a nice root structure

Thanks Fakula! When you say spray feeding are you using nutes or straight water? I haven't started any feedings yet. My soil does have a small amount of nutes I think lol. I've heard that the Autos don't like a lot of nutes. Most info I've read says to start feeding around week 2. I've even considered just doing straight foiliar feed during veg and then switching to half strength regular feedings around week 4. I will be using the fox farm trio I have leftover from several years ago. I have gallons of the stuff lol. I've read that they shouldn't expire. My Gro Big is the hydro vs soil but I believe it'll be ok at a lesser dosage. Any opinion on feeding schedule and my nutes?

Also, last question for now lol, should I be Ph'ng my water? I've read a lot of guys who say you really don't need to worry about ph on soil cuz it acts as a buffer but then I've also seen a lot of guys that monitor their soil ph very closely. I have GH's ph test and adjustment kit also from several years ago. My tap water was between 7 and 8. Hard to tell with those damn colors. My understanding is my soil/nutes should automatically help to correct my ph. I didn't use any lime or anything in my soil though.

Sorry for so many damn questions lol

I usually spray feed em with straight water, maybe with some epsom salts too if you like for the Mag boost, I wouldn't just foiler feed em for the veg period, give em a steady lush of water when the soil dried up,I'm working with BioBizz so I can't really advise you on the nutes you're using, my general range for their 1st feeding give them 1/4 strength and work your way up, ph in soil is very forgiving, look on ebay for ph meters, they can be pricey but for the sake of accuracy they are very handy, best I can say regarding feeding schedule is to give em 2 feedings and a water, not a flush, just a normal watering but with no nutes, that's what I've been doing and it;s been working, I use bottled water with a ph of 7 and add nutes, but for the final 2 weeks i just balance the ph of my tap water and feed em nothing but water for the last 2 weeks and the buds, for lack of a better word, get obese as fuck!!! Dolomite lime i have not used myself but I did use epsom salts for Mg, but I have cut that out along with my grow nute, just using the Bloom/TopMax/Heaven, I reckon mine have 2 more feedings until I start with plain water then harvest time, I can't wait, and don't worry about the questions, I was the same, but your questions are not near as retarded as mine :tiphat:

As always the info is much appreciated. I guess I've always been a little confused Ph'ng soil grows. Hydro is easy to ph. With soil I know how to ph the water going in but not sure how my soil will affect it. I know you can try to test runoff but my plants are to small for me to water them enough to get any runoff lol. I know there's soil ph meters but I've heard they suck ass.

1/4 strength seems to be the general consensus on nutes. I'm planning on using the FF schedule at 1/4 strength at the end of week 2 and maybe moving up to half strength if it looks like it can take it. Ill only be using grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. I've considered adding molasses but not sure how to do that and when. My soil does have about 1/6 miracle grow potting soil with 6 mos nutes so I'm being cautious on nutes.

So would you add Epsom salt if you see a cal/mag def? Or isn't it preventative?

I just added epsom salts anyway, not much but enough to prevent a mag deficency, like I said I'm not up to date with the fox farm nutes but I would say they're similar to the biobizz range, you'll be sound with them tho, have fun with it man, sorry for the short message but im kinda busy at the moment

You can use molasses anytime you want at about 1tblsp per 4-5 litres of water and up the dose a little when she is in flower. its also got a little bit in it to help along with your epsom salts which will stop cal/mag from happening. But autos like to use alot of cal/mag once in flower so watch out for it and up the dose as needed.
You shouldnt have to check your soils ph unless there is actually problems, if there is no problems than your ph is usually fine. Id always start on 1/4 strength just to be safe and up the dose gradually.
Hope that helps man

Thanks for the info! Think I'm gonna pickup some Epsom salt this weekend. When do you first apply it? I've read 2 to 3 times until harvest. Hope you have a happy 4th!

That helps a lot. How old should they be when I first give them molasses? I've read you should apply it once per week. Also what type of molasses? Just the stuff at the grocery store or something special at the garden store. Thanks for all the great info!

WEll from my expierence they start going heavy on cal/mag at around week 5-7 so i would give 1tblsp per 4-5litres before week 5 and work the dose up acordling but not to much unless you see the cal/mag. If your giving them epsom salts and still seeing cal/'mag then up the dose. Id feed them once a week with epsom salts and again unless it gets really bad i keep it at that.

The black treacle stuff that you buy in the store not the garden center... over here its in a red tin and its black and very sticky. Yeah you can give it when ever you want so once a week is perfect maybe even twice a week near the end of flower, its like a carb boost for your plant, it feeds the micro activity in your soil which in return does wonders to your plant.
