Update Day 71

My Critical Jack is still hang drying and will be for at least 3 to 5 more days. She smells amazing! Due to the recent hermie issue I've decided to harvest my Berry Ryder 3 and Berry Ryder 1. They both have very little seeds so I want to get them now before they develop more. I've placed them in the dry box still in their pots to sit in the dark for 2 days. I will chop them tomorrow and post pics.

My Mazar has quite a few seeds. Probably more than any other plant. She still has some amazing buds growing on her though and she smells amazing. I'm going to keep her going til she's fully fattened.

My blue cheese doesn't have too many seeds on her. She smells the best of all of my plants. Her buds still need to dense up quite a bit more. I'm guessing about another week for her. And finally my Berry Ryder 2 only has a few seeds and she looks amazing. The buds are getting super fat but only 20% red hairs so she has at least 1 to 2 weeks left.

Having a plant herm sucks. I just had my first auto grow a few male parts. "it" went into the trash. Have had one photo herm on me too.

That is a perfect example of a bread that is pure herm. Good for what it says crap land race.

Cannabis is just such an awesome plant that i think sometimes in a room full of girls, one of them will just stand up and say NO - I WILL NOT DIE, springs some male bits and sprays it's love all over the girls ensuring a future generation..

.. the fighting spirit!!

This isn't my scientific input, just the way i like to console myself when i find seeds among the girls ^_^

TBH I'm pretty bummed about my girls being hermies. I spent a lot of time and money to prevent this from happening. This is my first grow in ten years though and the plants are still amazing. I've had plenty of killer bud with beans and even grown those bagseed beans into great female plants.

I still expect at least 4oz of bud that's waaay better than anything around here. That's roughly $1200! So I'd say even with the beans I've got my investment back. I've got 4 feminized photos that will be ready in about 3 months. Hopefully I can prevent these ones from turning on me.

All I have to say Bubbles is make sure when you post somthing you are sure it's correct and backed up by some sort of article or documentation.I never post anything unless I know it's correct.If I post something that I may be wrong on I welcome people to correct me and I will accept it.In the mean time I will be looking foward to your journel, but remember a lot of members are new to growing and get confussed when all this breeding talk gets carried away,so try and keep it as simple as you can so we can all understand it,t hanks.

That's the problem with the internet Nam. I can find supporting articles and documentation for both points of view. The links I posted were just a few from dozens of articles I found. I apologize I quickly posted them using my phone vs PC otherwise I would've provided more links, highlighted specific quotes, and dated each article first. I guess I didn't realize I was writing a research paper. I was just trying to discuss conflicting theories. Basically organic vs chemical induced feminized seeds.

And trust me all the new growers like myself are already confused. Theres soooo many conflicting theories on cannabis. The only way to learn is to try things yourself or at least that's how I learn best. Ill grow a few of these seeds and see what happens. If they hermie ill throw them no big deal but if they're fem I've just got 50 free Mazar seeds lol. In the meantime I have a separate photo grow too.

Ok first of all isn't this my journal? Am I not allowed to post any information I wish? Just because you don't agree with these theories doesn't mean I don't have a right to discuss them on my journal. Up until this point I have been very tolerant of your negative comments and personal attacks but honestly if this offends you stay off my journal.

The information I posted was only a few of tons of articles I've found discussing this. Now I am convinced more than ever that I need to grow these seeds just so I can prove people like you wrong.

This is a cannabis growing website. We are all supposed to be friendly and positive towards one another. I welcome any intellectual discussion. I am a very open minded person and I consider all possibilities. I honestly feel really let down right now. I never expected this type of animosity or personal insults on this forum especially from such respected members.

Either way no hard feelings. I'm done discussing this subject and I just want to get back to my grow journal. And for anyone who's interested I will document and report my findings from this experiment.

listen , i was trying to help you , trying to clear up some misleading info for you , info that has been proven as bad and damaging not only by myself but professional horticulturalists and plant biology pro's

my credentials are this , ive been around this plant my entire life , i do not know life without it , ive been growing myself going on 4 decades now and breeding out of nessesity most of that time , ive made fems the old/wrong way as well as making fems to this day and for the last couple/few years the right way , edit to add : ive also got a no degree entry level horticultural course completion from when i worked for the city parks department

ive made every mistake possible over the years and im very passionate about helping others avoid those mistakes as they are PROVEN and not something i read , by the way , cannabis is bad for you , check it out , lotsa links say so , even our government will tell you so

anyway , have fun growing hermie bred seeds , sometimes a person will get lucky , ive got a strain i made 4 or 5 years ago with a hermie as the dad , not one of the 20+ plants ive grown from those seeds has hermied , BUT not every one was a female either
