PLEASE HELP!!!!
I'm freaking out! Lol No, but seriously I have a situation. Really hope you guys can help me with this. I've tried researching online for hours and I'm just not finding the answers.
Last night I discovered that all of my plants except the Mazar have seeds!!!! How the hell did this happen?
This is what I've found out. There's a few different possibilities. First, I know without a doubt I have had 0 males so that eliminates that possibility. That leaves hermaphroditism. Based on my research I've learned a few scenarios that can case autos to hermie.
One possibility is as the near the end of their life cycle they begin to grow seeds as a last ditch effort when they realize they're about to die. Another more likely possibility as I'm dealing with reputable seed banks is stress. Of course as a noob this is the most obvious. I haven't been easy on these girls. They have had tons of temp variations between 68-88. They've had their light schedule changed mid flower. They were LST'd quite aggressively. And finally what I believe is the culprit is nute stress due to a salt lockout.
Okay so that's the easy part. Now is the tough part because I don't know what the quality will be of my final product. I'm guessing it will still be excellent because I'm not finding more than a few seeds on each plant so far but my yield will be lower and of course ill have a few seeds to pick out of my bags.
This doesn't seem like a big problem but for me it was devastating. I pride myself on perfection and attention to detail. I spent hundreds of hours of research and specifically bought feminized seeds through reputable seed banks to ensure this wouldn't happen. It was also a huge shot to my ego because I felt like I was doing an excellent job on this grow.
I was so devastated about finding the seeds I needed some positive vibes so I decided to chop my critical jack. She was flushed for about 6 days. I realize I should've flushed her longer and had her sit in the dark for a few days but I was freaking our and figured what the hell it's my first plant and I've got plenty more. Plus I'd only found a few seeds on my CJ and they were immature so I figured by taking her down now I could prevent further seeds. Unfortunately I didn't have all the supplies to do docs bud wash but will do that for the rest.
THE HARVEST
I didn't find anymore seeds except 2 so far. She smells amazing and was so sticky!

It was my first trim in almost 10 years lol. I think I did an ok job. I ended up with 95 grams wet. Hoping for 20 grams dry and ill be happy seems how she's my first/smallest. I've got her hang drying in my wardrobe box. There's a fan in there on low circulating the air but not blowing on the plant directly. My temps about 70 and humidity around 60%.
I did get a decent amount of trim and popcorn buds. I'm going to try and make a small batch of hash to get some practice before I do a big run. Ill be happy with even a G of full melt off of her. I put all the trim in a baggy and straight to the freezer. Going to try making it tonight.
We did get a nice little scissor hash patty. Put it on top of a bowl and got higher than I've been in a long time. Didn't last more than 30 mins tho
Here's a few pics of the harvest...
SEEDS
Now comes the really confusing/interesting part lol. I've found 2 conflicting philosophies. The first says that a self pollinated hermie seed will retain the genetics of the mother and have a 95% female rate. Basically meaning I've struck gold!
The second philosophy says hermie plants produce hermie seeds. I'm hoping its the first. From what I've found hermie plants will only produce hermie seeds if the plant hermied genetically vs through stress but I'm not sure as I've found opposite opinions everywhere.
Lets say the first philosophy is true and I have struck gold with tons of free fem auto seeds. How will I know which seeds were developed through self pollination and which seeds were crosses? What I mean is what if only 1 plant hermied and pollinated the others?
I have watched these plants like a hawk everyday multiple times a day. I never saw any male parts at all. Even now I can't find any male flowers but I'm not positive on what I'm looking for. I've seen plenty of pics of banana shaped male flowers and my plants have none. I was watching a video that made it sound like the male flowers would grow right into the female flowers and pollinate with their stamen but never showing a banana shaped flower.
At this point they're pollinated and their growing seeds so theirs not much I can do. My dilemma is whether I chop early to prevent more seeds or let them grow the seeds to maturity. In order to decide this I need to know if my seeds will be any good.
Blue Cheese x Critical Jack seems like a good cross to me lol but again I have no way of knowing who pollinated who and whether the seeds will be hermie, regular, or feminized
I appreciate any insight you guys can give me on this. Thanks for all the help you guys have given me. I wouldn't have gotten this far without you.
