Indoor First Grow 2x4 Tent 600 W HPS

Took Bob's advice and decided to LST the older girls. I want to get them nice and bushy before I flower them plus I want to have time to get clones.

Are you just using floresents for start up or for the whole grow?

Are you just using floresents for start up or for the whole grow?

I use t12's for vegging/clones/seedlings. I also have a 600 watt hps in my tent that I use for flowering. In a few weeks I'm getting a new larger tent and I will then move the hps to that tent and use my 2x4 as a veg tent with the fluro's.

In the future I plan on upgrading from t12's to t5's for my veg tent.

Here's a few pics from tonight. Should have a big update in a few days.

Still waiting for my tent. Should be here any day now!

I did recently get my ph meter in. I have to say this is an absolute must for beginners! The drops are very inaccurate and a complete PITA. Originally I wanted to get a 50-100$ combo meter but couldn't afford it so I gambled on a $13 meter. Besides my jorge cervantes grow bible this is easily one of my best investments so far. Initially I was very skeptical because it's so cheap but it was spot on right away and confirmed my suspicions that my ph has been off since day 1. I do recommend getting the 7.0 calibrating solution for an extra $7. It makes calibrating a breeze.

Ill post a full update in a few days once the tents up. Hope it gets here soon cuz my girl is getting pretty close to the light.

New Tent!!!

I finally got my new tent. It's a 4x8x7. It's a generic one from Amazon. Originally I was going to get a Virtual Sun but this cheaper one had better reviews.

I was able to set the entire tent up myself in less than an hour. It seems like everytime I underestimate the size. I guess a tape measure just doesn't give you a good enough idea lol.

There's so many possible configurations with my setup. I've been debating and debating how to do this. The plan I've opted for now is to put my 2x4x5 tent inside of the larger tent and use it for veg. I did his for a few reasons. First because of the space. My room is getting pretty crowded lol. The second reason is because I don't have the money to invest in another 600watt for a few months. The final reason is because I currently have 1 carbon filter/inline fan (my veg plants actually stink pretty bad lol).

I have debated using the entire 4x8 tent for flower but using t12's on one half of the tent for early flower and then moving the plants under the HPS in the other half for late flower but I don't think it would be worth it vs just waiting for another HPS.

My main concern with the veg tent inside the larger tent is light leaks. I haven't had a chance to look yet but I'm 99% sure it's completely light proof. I did notice a few pin hole size light leaks on the larger tent. Mainly alone the zipper. The room is almost pitch black during daytime but not 100%. I def don't want any hermies again lmao.

Any opinions on this configuration?

My plan is to use the veg tent to house mothers/clones. I want to purchase a 64 site king cloner next week. Then ill take aprox 10 clones from each strain. Veg/Root them for about a month. Then hopefully have enough money by then to get my second hps so I can run a 4x8 60 plant SOG. In the meantime I have a bagseed plant about 4 feet tall 4 weeks into flower :)

Also I plan on completely a smoke report for each of my auto strains within the next week.
