Hello everyone,

First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to everyone on this site for making it the greatest site for growing autoflowers on the internet! I would also like to give a special thanks to these users for giving me the extra help I needed to start growing:
  • namvet25
  • CGR
  • Chingro

How I started: I've been toking since December so I'm relatively new to cannabis in general, but after counting up the amount of money I've used on toking, I realized that I either had to stop or try making my own. I was about to give up when a friend referred me to autoflowers. Greatest referral ever :D. After lots of research and with the help of this amazing forum, I bought everything I need to start.

Seeds:
  • Advanced Biodiesel Mass (Growing one for now, but I have three)
Medium:
  • Fox Farm Ocean Forest (here)
  • MiracleGro Perlite (here)
  • Hoffman Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (here)
I mixed the Fox Farm with the MiracleGro in a 3:1 ratio and put the peat in the top center to avoid burning my seed.

Lights:
  • 3x 2700k CFLs
  • 1x 6500k CFL
I plan on on going 20/4 with my lights. Feel free to suggest anything that's worked better for you!

Nutes:
General Hydroponics Go Box Starter Kit (here)

Setup:
One 5 gallon bucket with holes at the bottom for air and drainage and holes at the top to help me with LST sits on top of another 5 gallon bucket that catches runoff water. A slim, oscillating fan sits behind them to assist with air flow.

So far:
As of this post, one seed is sitting in an Aquafina water bottle in the back of my closet germinating. I'll continue to update this thread as the grow continues...

I look forward to seeing how this turns out! Thanks again to everyone.

It's been 9 days since I started and my seed sprouted from the ground three days ago, but it looks like there is a problem. The sprout doesn't look to be growing and I'm afraid that it's going to die. Can someone help me please? I have included a pic down below.

yeah not great picture mines slow to grow but its at least 2" tall maybe its just throwing out roots, I wouldn't give up maybe bring your lights closer to it

It's not even close to 2''. I just zoomed in a lot. The sprout is barely 1cm. I tried that advice yesterday and my lights have been about an inch away. Thanks for the advice though!

Does anyone else have any input on what might be going on?

Is it under cold ac, check the temperature is not too cold :;;;;;;burr...

There is an oscillating fan behind it, but other than that, it's pretty warm. Especially considering that it has two 42 watt cfls that are ~2 inches from it at any given moment.

have you given it any water? looks kinda dry?

what did you do when you put it in the soil? all info helps High 5

edit: make the bulb 4 inch away in the beginning. my :2cents:
