Indoor First Grow - Easy Ryder Autos

Whats up everyone. Been reading alot here and decided it was time to give it a go. I've never grown before so feel free to comment, or give advice. It will be greatly appreciated.

My setup:
-2 easy ryder feminized auto seeds (Herbies)
-Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil (Amazon)
-2 two gallon pots (Lowes)
-Homemade light fixture with 6x26w daylight CFLs then switch to 2700's for flower. (Lowes/Walmart)

I'm growing in the corner of a walk in closet. I did some test runs with the lights on, and temps seem to be between 78-84 degrees. I know HPS would be better at least for flower, but I don't want to spend the $$ to control the heat it will create. I will probably use it on my next grow since it will be closer to fall/winter. Ordered from herbies on 7/5. arrived to east cost on 7/14. seemed like it took forever lol. here's some pics of the package and my freebies. i was going to do 1 easy and 1 critical, but figured it would be smart to do 2 of the same for my first grow.

Hey Md,

Just in final weeks of a similar project....CFL's, OF, 2 gall pots, and good beans. You will be surprised at what can be done with CFL lighting. I just pulled down some stinky white widow auto and it is drying as we speak. Cant wait to follow your journal along. Peace

7/15 12pm seeds popped! "pher Wiggle"seemed like it took forever (I'm impatient) even though it was only 24hrs. I filled my pots with OF and watered them until I saw some runoff. I'm using well water which is coming in pretty close to 6.5 on ph so I think I'm good using it the entire grow. I probably wont use any nutes until flowering (tiger bloom). I think/hope the OF will provide what I need until then. Now comes another long wait. I will update once I see some action. Until then, feel free to chime in:smoke:

Hey MD if you look at my previous grow, I used cfls all they way, and I got over an ounce in my main cola alone. I used 3 X6 outlet power strips with 4 bulb outlets with double light bulb heads (just like yours except 12 double bulb outlets) My second plant I actually didn't provide enough Nitro, because I assumed it would have turned out like the previous, but I still got almost 2 ounces out of that one. So you can produce some great auto plants. You look great. One thing though I use a topsoil buffer for the seedlings, because numerous other growers warned me that the seedlings can get burned with OF. Hey but good luck u have a great start.

Thanks panic, you got me really optimistic about my grow. I feel what you're sayin about the ff burning my seedlings. I was a little worried about that as I heard that could happen, but hopefully they will pull through. I like the soil buffer idea, and will keep in mind for next time. Im not sure how to view your previous grow. Let me know how if u can. Thanks for the 411 bro.
