Indoor First Grow - Easy Ryder Autos

See, in m experience, whenever I use my CFL to sprout, I find that when they break the soil they go into an OMG LIGHT!!! phase and are going to stretch. I don't think I've ever had my bulb(s) more than 4" away from the top of the soil, and try to maintain between 4-6" from the top of the plant. :dunno:just the way I do it. I also feel like I remember reading somewhere that for grows on the smaller end of the spec., just going in and visiting your girls, your breathing generates enough/suitable CO2. May or may not be any truth to that lol

Tell me about it. I actually lived right around the corner from the first wawa in existence!

Yeah,I was thinking for whatever reason you were running the more potent 125W or larger.Thats what I use,As well as the smaller less powerful ones too.But for the Larger ones thats what I was talking about.Thats why I asked I wasnt sure whatcha had.sorry bout that, nah the same goes for sprouts as a rule..some because of genetics will want to stay small no matter whatcha do for the most part. But your gonna wanna stay no more than 5-6 inches away with the smaller ones.and once they get to that stall phase of sprouting, where root development is goin on,you can lower a little then, and then once you see it start to raise that first set of leaves a cpl millimeters or three I often stick it right down onto it a few inches away.bout 3 inches or even four.I like closer because if you push it onto the sprout if its healthy and air flow and temps are good you can achieve a really really killer nodal and spacial stacking of the flowers n things.it makes for a great looking plant imo.if you push it tooo far onto the light,it can stunt it some and keep it very squat, yet healthy n bushy, but squat n stocky.Kinda like the Forearm Bud Pic I have in my profile..thats how I got that guy..lol.big as a large propel sports water bottle..LOL!Solid too.

Ya sorry bout that dude,I had it in my head that you were using the larger 125W or bigger CFL's man..Hope that helps ya buddy.:Sharing One:

Using 5X55w CFLs (mostly 2700K) Doing partial harvest of top colas and waiting a bit longer for the rest. At Day 76 right now. Here is a photo 5 days back. widow reefers 004.jpgwidow reefers 003.jpg

Nothing really new. Plant 1 is much further along then the other one.(still thinking of names for them) I'm guessing "Day 1" is when the sprout shows its first set of true leaves(please correct me if I'm wrong) Anywayz, here's a couple pics...:smoke:

Subbed to this one. Located in MD and am planning my first cfl indoor grow for this upcoming month, and my setup is almost identical to your except I'm using 4 105 (actual not equivalent) watt bulbs. Good luck with the girls. I'll be lurking on the sidelines. As for Wawa, I'm sorry for your loss. The meatball sandwich has got me hooked.
