Indoor First Grow - Easy Ryder Autos

I love me a good closet grow! Looking forward to flowering..I mean..following along :)

Day 4

Nothing new really. Yesterday I gave them each their first watering since they've been planted. Took 1L of water each before runoff. Here's a few pics of the girls...

Hey MD let me ask you a question, when you ordered from herbies did you pick stealth or super stealth? Do you think it matters? Sorry for getting off topic on the thread. Just wondering.

Subbed to this one. Located in MD and am planning my first cfl indoor grow for this upcoming month, and my setup is almost identical to your except I'm using 4 105 (actual not equivalent) watt bulbs. Good luck with the girls. I'll be lurking on the sidelines. As for Wawa, I'm sorry for your loss. The meatball sandwich has got me hooked.

years ago, I used to work at a wawa..the only wawa in a 5 mile radius..On a busy road....LINED with bars. Dead center between not one, but TWO colleges. If I never saw a meatball sandwich again, I think I would live lol. Cause I'll tell ya. If there is ONE thing hammered college kids love, it's a meatball sandwich.

extra provolone.

:dunno:
ok so its entirely possible that this is a me exclusive, however, lol
I don't think you want to be watering them until you see run off when they're still so young.. I usually wait until I her first set of multi-fingered leaves to water until I see run off.

Amen on that. My soil is lightly moistened when I prepare it and place it in the pots. In the very early growth if I feel the plant needs more moisture I will add it with a spray bottle around the plant:peace:

I just ordered stealth, I think it was like $11 or something. I don't see the reason to go super. It all came very discreet. Trackable the whole way. I recommend them, and will def order there again. My other choice was attitude, but they charged alot more for shipping. Hope that helps.

@wheredaweed and loud pipes: thanks for the info, will definitely do that next time.

So yesterday I won $500 on a scratch off ticket.

. So I decided to put my newly acquired funds to work for me. I wish I was able to change my thread title to reflect these changes. If someone knows how, please let me know.

I just went on a little shopping spree:

-600w hps w/dimmable ballast and air cooled hood
-2x4x5 grow tent
-6in inline fan(435 cfm) with speed controller
-misc accessories

Since this would be a little too much for just 2 ER, I've started germing my final ER, and my royal queen critical seed. So i will have a total of 4 autos going. I would put more in there, but thats all the beans I have left (other freebies are photos). I will buy a filter later when smell becomes an issue. plan on running the light at 75% (450w) if it gets too hot. Crazy that the 600w was only a couple dollars more than the 400w, so that was a no brainer.

My main question is would I be able to setup my ventilation like this: light -> duct -> fan -> duct to hole in tent. So basically the air in the tent would be sucked over the light and out of the tent. I think this is called passive intake? Would this provide enough to cool the tent and provide proper circulation? Should I put some duct on the other side of the light and just lay it on the bottom of the tent or just keep it open? I've included a (terrible) sketch to show what I mean.

Anyway I super excited to setup everything, as I'm sure this will vastly improve my yield. Thanks everyone in advance for your advice.
