I spent all day today upgrading my set up a bit. I build a small grow box, about three feet tall, two feet wide two feet long. Inside are two fans, one for bringing air in and one for bringing it out. Two 20watt CFLS (give off 1180 lumens each, 6500k) and one 55watt CFL (3600 lumens, 2700K). There's a thermometer on the right wall which runs to a reader on the outside of the box. Temperatures seemed to stay around 78-80 degrees F. Let me know what you think!

Hey guys, I did a few things. I raised the plant so it would get more light. It looks like the leaves might be curling a little bit but I don't know if I'm just being paranoid. Also the temperature was at like 86ish today which has me worried. I can't attach any vents from outside or anything and the box is in a small closet. What can I do to keep the temps down?

Thanks! Like I said this is my very first grow and I'm still learning, I just really want this plant to do well haha.

Today makes day 6 since planting the germinated seeds (so 6 days from planting, about 8 from germ.)
Right now in my box I have 95 actual watts. 40 watts 6500K and 55 watts 2700K.

She is on a 24/0 light cycle. No dark time.
The temperatures range from 75-85 degrees F (the windows are open during the day sometimes).

She hasn't been watered in three days, and will get a watering tomorrow on day 4.

I've seen plants that are much bigger by day 6, but she is only about 2 inches across right now (from leaf tip to leaf tip).

ALSO I'm living at school, so I won't be home until friday to make changes, if any are needed. I'm having someone at home take care of it for me otherwise.

Hey guys, day 8! I'm worried. Parts of the leaves seem to be a bit curled. Not all of it, but little pieces. It's been growing a decent amount though. I'll post some pictures. I watered yesterday so I can't check pH for a few more days. Last time I checked was around 6-6.3 but I'm using API drops meant for a fish tank so maybe it's wrong? The whole leaves aren't curling, but some pieces are curling down and maybe some up. Please take a look at the pictures and let me know what you all think.

Looks like a slight heat stress, how close are ur bulbs from the plant?

You can predict nothing by the size of your plants at day 6. they don't look any smaller than mine did at that stage. When these girls take off, it will just be.....BANG! You'll look in one morning and say : WOOOOO Look at that!" :Sharing One:

You can put a fan on them. lightly for now. might help with temps of about 4-5 degrees. Also, don't yet worry about the curling, if the next set of leaves show the same thing, then we can do something about it. but the first two sets of leaves are always wierd somewhat. They should be more uniform at the third set.
