New Grower First Grow Journal- Northern Light Auto

Thanks everyone! I switched out some of my bulbs, so now there are three 20 watt 6500k CFLs in there. They're about 5 inches from the plant. The temps have been around 72-78 all day... Her leaves are still kinda curled in all different directions. I'm trying not to worry too much, but I can't help it hah. Here are some pictures of day 9:

Welcome to the growmunity growgirl.... Here smoke on some of this...:Sharing One:

I moved your thread to the New Growers Section, that way if you run into any issues, there are some great growers that will steer you in the right direction.... Happy and Safe growing to you.... She looks very happy being in your care by the way:thumbs:

One Love.......

Hey and Welcome!!
Ya, this is the hard part for sure, checking in all the time, looking at this, worrying about that, to much water, not enough light, etc, etc, etc. Patience is key at this point. I know I had a hard time not "doing" and just waiting and observing. The drive to make it grow big and fast is a strong one!!
Keep the journal going, lots of photographs, and keep good records so we can figure out any issues that may arise. And no worries it looks great, nicely laid out grow box, it will help you produce a beautiful plant!
Peace and happy growing.

Day 10: drooping leaves!

Thanks for your replies everyone(:
today is day 10 and there was little growth since yesterday, if any at all...today the leaves are curling down also, which it can't be over watering, since I water every 4th day and the last water was 3 days ago. Should I start watering more often? Like every 3 days? The temps have been around 71. I have yet to get a humidity meter (stupid of me I know), so I think it might be low humidity? The leaves seem a little dry... Not brittle but dry. I sprayed the walls of my grow box and sprayed the plant too, and I'm planning on going to lowes today to see if they have any humidity meters. I'm also going to grab another socket splitter and add one more cfl. 23 watt, 2700k. The fan in the grow box was on max, so I lowered it down to medium speed too. I can not afford a humidifier.... If it is a humidity problem, so does anyone have any ideas on how to raise humidity without one?

Hey, nice updates :D usually drooping leafes means or underwater or overwater. You should just water her when the pot feels "light" or use your hand to feel if the soil is still damp "My 2 cents" take care of this baby, but dont give it too much love (overwater) :peace:

Thanks green n' peace! :) I put my finger about two inches into the soil and it felt a little damp, but not wet. Should I water? Today is the third day since the last water. I also added more lights! Now there are 138 watts worth of CFLs. 60 watts of 6700k and 78 watts 2700k. I also moved the fan a bit so it wasn't hitting the plant so hard. Temps have been around 78-82 now. Check out this video I took of it today and let me know what you think!

Day 11 updates

Hey guys. I did a bunch of things last night. Added more CFLs, now totaling 60 watts of 6700k, and 78 watts 2700k, 138 watts total. I bought a humidity meter, and also watered yesterday (three days since previous watering), and moved the intake fan down a setting so it wasn't blowing as hard on the plant. I put a shallow dish of water with a sponge in it in front of the fan to try to increase humidity too. I even sprayed the watts of the grow box with water (it dried fairly quickly). After all of this, the humidity has stayed around 32-35%. The temperature has need staying around 75-78 degrees. I'm thinking about buying a humidifier, but the problem is I can't spend a lot at all on it, and it needs to be small enough to fit in my grow box...

Nice upgrades to your setup sounds all fine to me! about the humidifier is not a must, but if u can afford one that can fit in your grow room, why not? The new set of leaves looks good and without the curling, she will take off in no time.:twist: keep giving them love
