Day 54 updates

Hi guys. I'm pretty aggravated. I don't know what to do about this P deficiency. I flushed with 7 gallons of water the other day and the pH still came out 5.0. I added P to the final gallon (tiger bloom) and the spots slowed down for a day or so and then picked right back up, they get worse every day. I added lime and it didn't help. I don't know what to do. Is my plant even going to make it? It's mostly the worst around the top of the plant.

=Z!

yikes. I wish I had any other input. I cant entirely remember - are you using a PH pen/meter?
it sounds like you might have a bum meter maybe?? Cause if you're testing the water after adding nutes and its still coming out that low after a 7gal flush AND multiple rounds of higher PH water *to neutralize* I feel like theres gotta be something else goin' on.

GG, if runout is really 5, then there is something wrong in your soil and it has been something very wrong from the beginning. Your plant has starved for a long time and now she shows every sign of starvation, when she is coming to the EOL.

After you flush with so much water, soil is very saturated and can not accept more water with nutrients. Before, food was acidic, now there is no food. And plant is eating itself, what you can see on big fan leaves. When plant is flushed does not grow for some time and that is maybe why progress has stopped for a while.

When your ph is wrong, it is very hard to tell anything about deficiencies. If you do not resolve this problem, you can not feed and feed and hope that plant will get some of the stuff. Will not. Besides, new and new feed make more and more mess. If everything get out of balance for some time then it is hard help.

I grew NL in similar conditions and at the end it was totally unusefull. Think Different grown side by siide with NL was poor yielder in my acid kingdom (it was rain water I used) but was wonderfull smoke. That does not tell you, that your NL will be bad, I am just telling you my experience.

I think you should start to think about new grow in better soil and let this plant finish without any further efforts. There is really not much to do at this time. What has been done up to day 54, has been done.

When do you expect her to finish?

If your rooted out that compoundes the issue several fold once PH is off in any soil.Organics is easier to fix imho.but since Im unfamiliar with FF soils n wont touch em personally. The fact remains its jacked up.Myself I'd try(once a little less wet,but should be ok though)to submerge her in a bucket(pot only) of baking soda water for 10 minutes er so.Mix a needed foliar spray to limp her along(construction paper backing so you can be careful of the flowers as best ya can.Cut to size several) n beware of damp off issues n fluff yer soil.thats what Id do if all that failed."My 2 cents" :smoke:

gg, I think the reality is that you're on the fast track to harvest. If your pH is that low even after flushing, you are going to have a hard time doing much about it considering you're at 8 weeks. Trying to bring that soil back around will take longer than you have and by then the plant will be in no condition to eat anyway. You could try the foliar like EoF said, but that's very risky business in flower. I'd give it plain water and let all the vegetation go crisp before you pull it off. The plant will cannibalize itself and when it's done you chop. I've had this happen before and the bud was still quite potent, so don't be concerned that all is lost. The bud you have forming already looks frosty and tasty! :vibes:

In soil, to recover a ph misstep requires watering it twice the size of the pot with correctly ph'd NO CHLORINE water, preferably Reverse osmosis water.
Twice means, with a five litre pot, ten litres of water. After that is done, you need to make a mix of half- to three quarter strength nutes, with one to two mils of H2O2 29% per litre included, PLUS take a bamboo stake and punch holes in the soil after watering. Breathing and getting the pots dry is pretty damn important to rescue these babies. In the future i recommend going with ProMix HP for just this reason. Awesome drainage and the ability still grow a live culture substrate organically. If you have nutes such as PH perfect by advanced, this is one time you will use them.

MOST IMPORTANT is that you cannot allow the soil to overcompact. Crush the pots to loosen after all the watering is finished.

Try my method on one and see the results versus giving up.

Foliar feeding can be successful, but will be tedious.

Spray ONLY from underneath, at least 1/2 hour after all lights are off. The CALYX will be open. THIS is where you need to apply food. NOT on the flowers. After the lights go off, the calyx will open and allow nutes to enter. Avoid applying to the flowering sites directly.

ItKs a big two cents, but it can work. If your plants become oxygen deprived, H2O2 can be applied directly to any parts of the plant at a one percent or less strength via foliar. This is most effective during dark periods when then plant wants to convert energy into mass.

Good luck. ItKs never over till it's over.

And i jumped in without loading the pictures. The rust with the curling tips is often a massive iron deficiency. SPRAY AnD GRO is a good solution and HydroTek has a good one, too. It's possibly advanced magnesium deficiency as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I really appreciate it. From what I'm seeing, there's not much I can do now. I don't want to try foliar feeding during flower of my first grow, especially this close to the end. I don't think I know enough about how to do it yet or it's effects. Also, I'm using general hydroponics drops and oh adjuster. I know they're not ideal and I am looking into a pH pen but my local hydroponics shop charges way too much for them.
Im almost at 8 weeks, and the Royal Queen website said it should be ready for harvest in 9-10 weeks. But someone else on this thread said it usually takes longer than they advertise. So I think it'll be another 3 weeks AT MOST. Anyway, should I keep feeding her? Or just do pHed water now?

my other question is, is this deficiency going to ruin the buds?
