So I picked up two 18w LED lights yesterday. They 5000k and super super bright!! How far should I have these above the plants right now?? As of now they are about 3 inches over them.
Yo dude, sorry for the delay, have started a new grow myself and it took ages to set up , as they do...most enjoyable tho,
anyhoo, i'd put them at hand distance, ie if you can put your hand underneath and its not too hot then its fine for your plants.
They can bleach if you have high powered LED's too close as mine did once, pure white buds, very weird smoke :joint:

Ok. Well I pulled them up last night to about 6 inches. They pretty much have no heat but they are VERY bright!! Thanks once again!

Well the girls look fucking great!! I think they may be a little behind due to the power outage they underwent for a few days. But they look great!! The hobbits new leaves are turning purple day by day, and the leads problem doesn't seem to be slowing it down any. I think it may have been just a leaf mutation as it had a mutation problem with its first leaves. Going to feed nutes again tomorrow at 1/4 strength again and try and post some pictures.

Looking Great man. I also believe that leaf is just a mutation, but so far they are looking very beautiful.:joint:

Thanks man! I was just looking at your thread, looks great as well! As for my leaf problem, it seems that it may outgrow it as it hasn't slowed it down at all. I may feed nutes today. I just checked them and the top it very dry and only barely moist about 3" down.
I'd let it dry out for maybe 12 more hours then feed. you want the roots to search for water.
