New Grower First Grow: Think Different in hydro under HPS

Hey, this is my first attempt at growing! I'm using the XL sunhut grow tent, 1000w HPS with an adjustable ballast (can do 400, 600, or the full 1k watts), general hydroponics bubble buckets and gh nutrients. We're just gonna do one plant to start because we know we'll be making some mistakes and just want to learn the ropes first. Hey maurisa, good luck with your first grow. You picked the right strain to start with and you got the right equiptment. TD is a huge yielder and loves to eat eat eat. You will be surprised with how easy it will come to you and with all the help from the great people here at AFN you will be well on your way..

So heres the set up that we got going at the moment. I'm gonna go get an extra oxidizer at the grow shop just to ensure we dont get any root rot. Up here in the high rockies oxygen is in low supply haha.

But yeah the seedling sprouted out of the rockwool on the 1st and shes growin quick!

Hey so I'm just realizing i bought two nutrients by General Organics which I'm pretty sure is general hydroponics' soil geared sister. Anybody know if these are alright to use with my general hydro nutrients?

Thanks TD! thats what I'm hoping haha got the big tent so i can eventually get a few girls in there and so i have space to move around. One of my buddies has a small tent and he was sayin it can be a real pain in the ass

If you did 6 TD's under a scrogg net I bet you could achieve close to 1 1/2 -2 pounds after a grow or 2 to learn from, but your smart taking it easy and simple your first go around.....

That would be awesome! I'd honestly be stoked if I just got an ounce or ounce and a half from one plant. I was thinking about doing a scrogg net but I think I'm gonna wait till I'm a little more experienced to do that. But thanks TD!
Update for today:

Just cleaned the res and gave the plant more nutrients. Balanced the water in the new res to 6.0 and added Floralicious and the CaMg+ to the mix along with Rapid Start, FloraGrow, Micro, and Bloom. The ph of the water in the old res was 7.2 which is a little high, gonna start checking the ph every night to ensure it stays where its supposed to. Been feeding the plant half of what is recommended by the feed charts (besides the root stim Rapid Start, been giving her a full dose of that) because I was told that autoflowers burn easy and dont need nearly as much nutrients as a regular plant. Picked up an extra oxidizer and air stone as well so hopefully once the tap root hits the res she'll drink up the nutes and O2 and get nice and fat. Can't wait to see what happens! ..... now time for some dabs :stylez rasta smoke:
