Hi everyone, this is my first grow..looking to become a auto flower gardner.

Here is my setup:

1. 3'x3' x5' Apollo Grow Tent

2. Apollo LED Grow Light

3.Fox Farm Ocean Grow Fertilizer

4. Techna Flora Nutrient System

5. I read that you are never supposed to transfer auto's? .....which I did from 1 QT pot to 3 QT pots

6. My Northern Lights Auto is over 2 feet already..is this normal?

7. I see a lot of 7-8 weeks flowering but my Candy Cane Auto is already 9 weeks old and it looks ready to harvest.

Hey Night Rider.

Welcome on board :)

Generally autos take 10 weeks to be ready to harvest (sometimes even more) in my experience.

About transplanting them, you're better off not but I think you can get away with more than people say with autos. You should be fine, but stick to general concensus next time and start the plants in their final container if you can. One transplant isn't going to harm them in my opinion though it might reduce yield very slightly.

The plants look healthy so great job in growing them.

However they haven't really filled out the space as such, so I'm wondering maybe should you try different genetics next time? That or try and fit 2-3 more plants in there even. But they look very healthy so whatever you are doing keep doing it. But definitely there's something there which can be improved, but I'm not sure what, to get more harvest weight. Whether it's genetics, or more light, I'm not sure. I'm unfamilar with your soil, your nutes, your lights... I'm from a different part of the world so all the brands here are different.

Anyways keep it up bro. Welcome on board. PM me if you ever need me.

Welcome to AFN Night Rider, nice looking plants. I don't see anything ready to harvest in your photos though.

you are correct, I read somewhere today that in general auto's are not ready until all the fan leaves are almost gone????

Also if that's true then waiting for
40% of the white hairs to darken and curl in & trichomes to be milky white...does this work as well?

Thanks

What sort of effect are you looking for? If you want couch lock/pain relief then waiting for leaves to yellow is the way to go. It will also maximize yield.

NT77,

A very warm welcome my friend.

No. 5) I always start in a small 3.5" pot then transplant. Works for me!

Looking good there pal. Keep posting. and enjoy the hobby. eP.

new to autos

Hello I'm in the high desert of California and just planted my first set of auto grows..Candy Kush, Lemon skunk and great white shark...Now, when we planted our first set we were under the impression that we had to add flowering soil to our fox farm grow medium..After the fact we researched that that method was incorrect...How will this effect the growth? Also, we live in a climate that gets pretty cold (slow as as 20 degees F) but we have a greenhouse..By the way we are doing this outdoors..when the babies get about four to six inches we will remove them from straight sunlight to greenhouse do to nosey neighbors...Any tips or advice that you can give us would be greatly appreciate it
