Thx skatter I think I am gaining on it. The ph is more stable since getting the light of the tops of buckets I am running to water but the system adds cal and mag back in it was spends but my tap water is. 600 ppm lol. Thx for checking in peace
A little update my ph still climbs every day but only up to about 6.3 I am only adjusting once a day and I worry about that being too much seems like by the end of the week I will have a lot of ph down in there. Also I seem to be losing lots of nutrient to evaporation is this why my ph climbs ? I think the h2o is evaporating at the surface and leaving the nutrient behind because ppm is climbing also. Is that the way it works?
My plants are growing but I know they are going to be tiny because of my mistakes, I am just hoping to keep them alive at this point.
RO.water is completely devoid of any PH buffering elements (Although you are adding calmag, which is essential in RO) 600 PPM tap is brutal, but try 'cutting' your RO water with a little bit of tap. Just enough to get some other elements in there to help stabilize it. Perhaps try 4 parts reverse osmosis water 1 part tap water? Play around with it, I think you will find that it helps.
Thx skatter I will try that! My ro system actually adds some stuff back into the water not supposed to need the calmag with it. Maybe I do need calmag I don't know. The water comes out of to system at 67 ppm
Hey RP ... heres a link to a friends thread that Seymour looked in on & gave some excellent advice .I think you should check his post & have a think about it bud :stylez rasta smoke: I recon that advice Seymour gave Groff (whos a fukin clever man by the way !) was spot on & applies to you as well bro :
id also advise reading all Seymours threads if ive not mentioned that already ,plus all the other great DWC growers that have grows running now ?. The info to be gained on DWC is priceless & anyone who does always learns something (nearly every day I pick up a new bit of info round here somewhere !). ...researching every night for months kinda burned this stuff into my brain so you do need to be motivated to grow this way my friend https://www.autoflower.org/f61/preparing-alien-rdwc-invasion-25861-7.html
Thx for the link dw I will check it out. I have been trying to spend a few hours a day on studying on here and elsewhere mostly here. I have the time so I do invest it. Thx for your help

I will go thru some of seymores threads and any others I find cuz this hydro stuff is kicking my butt and I will not let that happen peace
A little update I am still plugging along lost one plant but the others are doing better. I am afraid they are severely stunted and tiny but I have them growing better now but ph climbs a little everyday still. I am sure this is from the stupid cotton media that I had no choice but to use.
At times I think I would be better off starting over but I am determined to make this work. Also finances say I can't start over till after Christmas time.
Meanwhile my photos in soil started the same day are killing it!
Getting better every time i see them RP.... Yea they may not be the biggest ever but this is a huge learning curve your on now... You listen bro and act well on advise your given...
Your do well with that attitude.....  :smokebuds:
