First organic grow - blue automazar // afghan kush ryder

A quick update to note a course correction as well as to show a couple pics of the tops. The AKR is much further along in trichome development, and pistil drying but I suspect the BAM will go a lot longer overall than the AKR so she'll have plenty of time to catch up. I let them both dry out quite a bit this week to see how fast they were drinking, the BAM is very thirsty and the AKR less so, I'm attributing that to their difference in size. I've been consistently giving them CAMG+ at 10 drops per gallon and I've also been giving them blackstrap twice a week. Other than that just RO water and light. On to light I've decided to pull the UFO out of my tent and replace it with a 125w 2100K CFL which I've dropped between the two canopies to get into those shady areas and see if I can coax some extra weight out of the BAM, I'm thinking the AKR has somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks left so I'm not sure what I can do for her, but the BAM may be more like 5 weeks+ to go, and she's bushier so the side lighting should be beneficial. I got some photos last night in daylight CFL lighting, I have other pictures but decided to post the tops because I almost never have up close photos because I have the artistic ability of a brick(perhaps slightly less). Hope you all are well!

Looking really nice Medi. Both a healthy lush green :)
Pleased to see how well you're doing man!

Thanks gents! I'm pleasantly surprised by their turn around, I think it must be the calmag supplementation that did it in the end. I've since amended my composting soil with crabshell and some more Epsom to hopefully stave off the deficiencies next time around.

Ya I usually give a 2-3 drops(prolly 5 er so since ya got leds)of cal mag atleast every other watering.or 2 drops every watering.thats worked and balanced well for me with the one plant i used that on.looks great dude!!

Super beautiful..can't wait to see them at harvest time! :)

Thanks Justin, I'm digging your AK/Cheese grow too man, and your dog is adorable!!

Looking good!

Thanks Pop, I'm loving your Mephisto grow man, really professional looking setup!!

Do you think I should try cutting the dose back, or the frequency? 10 drops is actually The Rev's recommendation in the book. I did the math and 10 drops is 1/10th of a teaspoon and the normal dose on the bottle is 1 teaspoon per gallon for light dose and 2 teaspoons for a heavy dose, but I also understand salts, PH, all those things that need to be taken into consideration, and I'm guessing that's where you're coming from.

Second grow is going swimmingly, Medi! :)

Especially considering how many changes to the game plan you made....I guess we don't just learn our set-up, we learn more about how to successfully adjust and adapt :)
And we develop a broader understanding of the plant itself.

Great Job!

As a general application for every feeding(barring LEDs ofcourse) I have used 1-3 drops usually right about 2 most times every watering once fully flowering.should be mostly rooted out by then and rinse right through n take what it wants.now soaking your rootball is a different things, but very effective to push a certain whatever into your plant.

but yeah a slow rolling addition instead of a build up as well.but not often an issue unless your running an off soil.but yours'll buffer that out pretty easily Id guess.but add more the next watering if needed(if ya see defs at all),or even boost it with some molasses and a single drop of cal mag and a sip of kelp liquid.that really levels thing out sometimes if you need a small boost for a week er so.
