First organic grow - blue automazar // afghan kush ryder

Second grow is going swimmingly, Medi! :)

Especially considering how many changes to the game plan you made....I guess we don't just learn our set-up, we learn more about how to successfully adjust and adapt :)
And we develop a broader understanding of the plant itself.
Great Job!

Thanks man, yours is taking off too, I'm excited to see when you're this far into the grow how full your tent will be!! We've both veered away from where we started it seems but I guess as long as you're prepared for what may come and willing to stay flexible then it should all turn out, at least that's what I've been telling myself :goodluck::Sharing One:

As a general application for every feeding(barring LEDs ofcourse) I have used 1-3 drops usually right about 2 most times every watering once fully flowering.should be mostly rooted out by then and rinse right through n take what it wants.now soaking your rootball is a different things, but very effective to push a certain whatever into your plant.

but yeah a slow rolling addition instead of a build up as well.but not often an issue unless your running an off soil.but yours'll buffer that out pretty easily Id guess.but add more the next watering if needed(if ya see defs at all),or even boost it with some molasses and a single drop of cal mag and a sip of kelp liquid.that really levels thing out sometimes if you need a small boost for a week er so.

Thanks EoF I have been hesitant to stack components that have lower PH for fear I'd shock the soil and kill a bunch of microbial life, I know Molasses is supposed to be around pH 6 not quite sure what the CAMG+ is at, so I've been alternating days, but I suppose my lime should help with that.

well depending if you have dolomite powder added or prilled was used.prilled is best since it buffers a lot better.dolomite does the same, its just not as active as long.so it possible(unlikely however) you could turn a cpl teaspoons into your ring(s) of your pots.but if prilled was used.I hit mine with uncheaked teas time n time again to boost the soil and several heavy teas and concentrates later I finally saw thre PH dipping down, which muddy clued me into.I saw it I was just unaware which way it went LOL just since ove and under defs look very similar unless it a very apparent type of thing, like mine was.but experience plays a big role there.but Id say you'll be fine.just check your water to see where your at and add accordingly man.it'll buffer for a good bit.but you used Subs supersoil mix right?Or similar.so it should be ok.but i dont care for his recipe too much although its good.I thinkj Im just bias just hes kinda of a dick in some areas.LOL! but thats my opinion LOL! I hear hes opening is mind up so we'll see.LOL! My buddies are talking with him some.lol.Hes pissed too cuz they took money from him and now HE and others got together to have to pay insurance and a fee and a million in insurance.Thats the kind of insurance private mail carriers need to have.overkill designed to get rid of stiff comp. LMFAO what a punk.anywho, hes got another thing coming LOL!so yeah that gives ya an idea of what kind of jerk some deal with LOL!

Yeah man I used prilled for sure for that exact reason. This batch of soil is modeled after Sub in terms of the amounts of what, but I substituted some of the ingredients for others by trying to mimic both the nutrient type and length of release. I think I erred on the side of caution though because I was afraid to make it too hot. That said, I agree that he's a snobby dude that needs to take himself a little less seriously ;-) If he doesn't open his mind up to what's going on in the market he'll find himself not in it anymore, I like to think life, the world, G_d, whatever, works that stuff out in the end. Thanks for all the great info man, it's good to know there is a limitation to how much even the prilled can do to help out I'll try to keep that in mind and mentally gauge where I'm at.

ya man n that is where you read your plant man.simple.keep your top coats(especially for autos )mellow and teas the same short of an emergency heavy feeder or something to spin it up like a liquid spike if you will.worked great.LOL!just know your season, starting PH per season of the water make up prior to using.easy.know whats hot n mellow and neutral running at what doses n things.Lots of small bubbles for an average time or large for extended, often times.purty awesome!

BAM // AKR Day 47

So coming up to the end of the 7th week for these two and they are cranking right along. I wanted to do an update to say/show that they're taking well to swapping out the UFO for the 125w CFL in the same spectrum as an HPS bulb. Also I decided to pick up some Big bloom to round out micro nutrients and get some love to the micro life in my pots. I mixed 2fl ounces/60ml to a gallon of RO to give a kickstart and will follow up once or twice a week with more like a half ounce per gallon leading up to flush. I was able to get some decent shots by turning off my LED panel and using the white filter for the CFL so I'll throw up a couple photos and move on to the TDs.

Think Different Day 11

Not very much to report on these little guys, they're still young but they look surprisingly healthy and spry. They're in a different mix than the BAM/AKR so it'll be interesting to see how well they transition into vegetative growth and then flowering with the addition of blood and bone meal. This mix had about 40 days to compost prior to these being planted so it may be a little hot yet but we'll see I guess. Without much more to add I'll throw up a group shot of the twins and call it an update. Take care everyone!!

Thanks Justin, that AKR is something that's for sure, it is a full on awesome plant in miniature form lol!! It won't produce much, but the couple of times I've disturbed it lately my entire closet blew up with serious funk so I think it will be an enjoyable smoke.

Wow is that frost on the sugar leaves of the AKR? Anyway they both look great! Just dropped a AKR seed myself, just couldn't resist anymore after seeing all these great grows and reports haha!

Yeah man I am impressed with trichome development so far, this is a picture of what you have in your future, it looks more impressive full size, but I didn't want to waste an entire page on it, lol!

Over the weekend I finally picked up some mulch for my pots. I went with cypress because apparently that is the only untreated(read:dyed) mulch I was able to find that was ok to use. So at any rate I took a pic last night to update my journal with them in mulch before I forget. Picture is at day 49 and 14 respectively.
