Alright this is my first time growing anything. I started two cream of the crop narcotic kush. Its been four days since i put the seeds in dirt to germ. Woke up today and have a one inch sprout on one of them. I have them under one six fixture t8 light. I have two 6500k in the middle and four 5000k on the outside. They are in 12in pots in a room that is 4 x 2 1/2 x 6. Running the light on 20/4 cycle. I have the light at about 12in from plant.
So what should i do next? I have questions about watering. Not sure how much i should give them and of often?? I just need help. Never done anything like this.:smokeit:

Tonybone :smokebuds:sounds like your off to a good start my friend , someone will be around to help , im not sure about watering dirt ,:karma Cloud: but here's some grow big karma for you....

Hi Tonybones,
You have come to the right place, best Cannabis forum on the web.
Your set up sounds good, do you have ventilation ? They do enjoy the fresh air and air movement in the room from an oscilating fan will strengthen their stems and keeps mould at bay.
One of the easiest ways to water is to pick up your pot when its dry and feel the weight, its not an exact science, just gauge how it feels then water until you get water running out of the bottom then leave it, usually a few days at least, pick the pot up again and gauge the weight, when its feeling close to that original dry weight, water again, you don't want the pot to totally dry especially with young tender plants, it will kill them. They want to be mostly dry but definitely never bone dry.
Another easy trick is to put a finger in the soil up to the first knuckle, if the soil still has sufficient moisture to sustain the plant the soil will stick to your finger, if it is dry and falls off it needs water.
Only give it plain PH adjusted tap water, Im not totally sure but I think its 6.5 for soil, it seems for the most part they do not require feeding untill the cotyledons (1st little round leaves) have shrivelled, they are kind of the yolk in an egg sustained the chick until birth.
Once they have shrivelled start feeding at about a quarter the maximum recommended dose, autos are very sensitive to chemical fertilisers, I have discovered this the hard way.
All these sections on the forum have 'stickies' threads that cover all the basics that are required reading for a successful grow.
Happy growing buddy, I hope it goes well, ask all the questions you want, very helpful, very knowledgeable folks on here and read as much as you can.
All very informative and many will answer your questions before you need ask them.
Also, try to leave your tap water to sit for at least 48 hours before use, it allows the chlorine and other nasties time to evaporate before use, its not essential but better if you can.
I have a couple of 25 litre beer fermenters for my water to sit in and it allows it to be at the same temperature as your plants.

Welcome bro your in good hands dont forget to check the stickies there is loads of info there on anything and everything auto :)
Best of luck with your grow and I'm looking forward to seeing some picky's

Peace:smokebuds:

Thanks guys. I do have one 12in fan running all the time. My temp in my grow room stays between 78 and 68. And my h stays right around 52%. I have another question. As i said i didmy germ process in soil. Two days ago one of the plants showed a sprout. Now two days later still no sprout on my other one. So yesterday i pulled the one with no signs of life and real carefully moved the dirt around and found it. The husk was still kinda on so i pulled that off but the hole thing was on its side. The tap root did not show signs of trying to trying to go down. Any suggestions on what i should do????

Cover the tap root with soil and leave it.If it does not make it, then it was a demic and you don't want plants that need help before youv'e even started. good luck.

Thanks randy. That's what i done. How long should i wait for it?

Here is a pic of the good one.

So i have another sprout today with a little more from me. She don't look the greatest but Im going to let her go for a couple more days and if doesn't look any better i will take her out and start another one. Oh well it will only by about two weeks behind the first one.
