New Grower First Time Grow DWC

here are some pics of my attempt to LST....I'm going to leave them and new seedlings be until Friday. I am waiting on some more airstones and roots for the second set I germed. 37 days old.....

Oh I forgot on Friday, I plan on switching to HPS, will this affect the new autos, make them flower faster??

It will affect the new autos. Most likely you will not get as aggressive vegetative growth as you would under halide. HPS has more orange/red spectrum which is ideal for flowering plants. They will flower fine, but may not grow as tall or big, thus affecting final yield, it should however not affect the speed of flowering (as in how many weeks until harvest). Hopefully somebody a little more experienced than me can help "shed some more light" on this...

I would keep the MH on for a while more. Until you really see them slow down on upward and outward growth. Best thing you can do now is open them up with some lst. I saw one pic you mentioned lst but the tops were still up, you should take that top and gingerly but 1/2 way aggressively bend it down with some string. Just go slow but you can basically bend it right over, just go easy and when you think its enough stop for the day. You can attach the string to the plant a couple nodes from the top growth, should be very flimsy there and easy to bend. Try tucking those big fan leaves under a new shoot to expose the new shoots.

I agree with the others on your ph 5.5 is low, mine is in the 5.7 drifting to 5.9-6.0 and adjusting back down to 5.6-5.7. I check daily and record adjustments etc.
Roots look great too, big mouth for the plants to feed.
Congrats, and the runt is coming back, looked kinda overwatered, but looking better.
Good vibes sent, keep it going. Its a marathon not a sprint.

Hey Medicineforme,

I bent them all the way over and the tops are stretching up. Here is a pic of one so you can get an idea of how I did it. However in this pic there were the stem was split so I only bent the taller half in fear that the stem would split. But I have a bigger issue look at this leave it about 2 or 3 of the plants have leaves similar I freaked and pulled all affected leaves off because it was only one like one or two fan leaves per plant. I added some diluted epson salt to the water but that was because when I've been reading I saw people with similar issues do the same. Also because of this I am going to order the complete set of nutrients under the Humboldt professional grow recommendations. Please advise quickly!!!!!

I see the lst now, looks great. Plants will respond nicely for sure. Plants really look great. Pulling off a few shitty leaves is something I do all the time. I guess as long as you don't see wide spread problems I wouldn't be too overly concerned. Its a very hearty plant and will rebound very well from alot of abuse. I don't know what your running for EC/ PPM on your res, which is really key infomation when any hydro is involved, otherwise your just kinda guessing. Or anyone trying to help is just guessing.
I have not run the line of nutes you are using so I honestly can't comment on them. But I am sure someone else can pitch in.
But your right on the lst and knowing when to stop. You will have to play it by ear, you don't want to break anything just overtime open the plant up and let the light shine in.

The plants definitely looked like they needed Mag. Running a low PH will do that.
Live, and learn. Mag isn't too hard to fix. The epsom salt you put in should shine em up.
They may green up overnight, but give em 3-4 days to really see results and make sure the problem has stopped.
I think you'll be fine. Just ran your PH a little low.
Let it swing between 5.7-6.0 before you buffer back down to 5.7.

Peace.

Ok, thanks I started with the low PH because it usually rises and balances out around 6.5 or so. I haven't had the chance to check on the ladies since I added the epson salt last night. Probably will check on them again tonight to see if they are perking back up. Medicineforme I will leave them under the MH light for another week or so, Im not really sure when to switch but I'll take next week to monitor their vertical grow more. Thanx guys for the help!!!!

Hey guys, I want to get some supplemental CFL lights for the new ladies but have no idea what bulbs to buy....Help please!!!!
