Hey, whats up man? Welcome to AFN and welcome to growing. Its definitely an adventure.
You plants are lookin good man. My last grows were on pure CFL, and I got some very nice and potent buds from it. If you ever get the chance to upgrade to some LED's. I highly recommend it. Just started my first LED grow, but from what I’ve seen on these forums. LED's grow some nice DENSE buds.

How is you lighting set-up? are you using a reflector/s? or do you have them free hanging?

Looking good. Mine are short and squatty. I want to recommend the LEDs as well. I have only had mine about 3 days and I can already tell a difference in my "babies." Also my temps are down from about 84 degrees to 78 degrees. I did the same thing initially. I started out and built a grow box with a 12 cfl set up and during test runs could not keep temps down. Then I just converted closet I was going to put box in by building some false walls and lining them with mylar and shrinking the square footage and adding 10 more cfls. So needless to say I am way over my original budget but I am hoping that long term it pays off. I bought the mars-hydro.com original panels. 2 of them for $203.00. Even if you just got 1 it would be about $105. I understand costs add up but it is something to think about for your next grow.

Hey guys, I have been researching LEDs for the last couple days and I will defininty be upgrading for my next grow. Hoping by Feburary I will have my second grow going.

1guy those are same panels that I had narrowed my choice down to. unfortunatly temps just outside my box are borderline freezing, so have to wait for grow to finish before i can incorporate LEDs.(need to make grow box larger)

I am interested in your nutrient choice. I have been told and read miracle grow is a big no for weed. I always wondered why it is bad. I have never used it in any of my outdoor grows in the past (Which are very few). I am doing my first hydro indoor grow now autoflower.net/forums/f35/hi-all-my-first-af-grow-37161.html#post701017
and I am using dynagro. I can't wait to see your final results. They look healthy.

the main reason i chose MG as my nutrient choice is because of my isolated local. i am 500km from nearest big box store and this was my only choice locally. seems to work OK. i have read threads on other sites where people claim to have success with MG nutes, so those are the reasons why.

I can't wait to see your final results with using miracle grow. You might convince some people it isn't so bad after all. So you live in the sticks huh? Well I have ordered a ton of stuff off of amazon including nutes. I am using the cheaper stuff (Dyna Gro) myself but one of the guys at my hydro shop says its great stuff. it is about 20 bucks for a 32oz. Just a suggestion to order online if the miracle grow doesn't provide you with the results you want.

No one said it doesn't work,. The point is, its manufacture process is suspect, and the fact that Monsanto owns it ( and Scott's ) is reason enough to never use it. If its the ONLY choice...well, I'd fins a way around it. go get some animal manure. Hell, most decent organic soil mixes actually have enough nutrients to grow with very little amendments. Top dress with coffee grounds, if you don't have any you can get them free from a coffee shop or restaurant.
