I've been curing for about a week in a mason jar. I've noticed that the RH jumps between 64-66 between burps which is done about 1-2 times per day. I've burped anywhere from a few minutes to an hour at a time. Any suggestions on getting the RH down to a more ideal range? The smell is becoming more pungent and haven't seen any signs of mold.

That's fine honestly, you want it to sit at sixty really for quite a while. Add a daily burp if you want, I do at least ten minutes but longer also works if it's humid where you are. I can quickly overdry my materials if I'm not careful, so I do more shorter burps.

Once you see it staying under 60 consistently, you can stop burping. That's when I try to give it a good 6-7 days unopened to really equilibrate.

Finished target is 55% after 4-5 weeks, so I'd say you're on track. If your still mid sixties by week 4, take it all out of jars for an hour at least.
