Figured I'd drop by and get some opinions from the coco crowd.
So if you haven't seen my post already in the infirmary, here's the run down;
My seedling wilted to hell and I think it's the coco because all other variables are good. I lost another one just last week. The one in question is the one on the right, germinated on the 9th. Left is my 1week.. huge difference already. (where the hell did this week go?)
So I was thinking of flushing out the solo cup that I have the dying one in with some ph and calmag treated water, and then planting a new seed with a jiffy plug... Thoughts on that?

Hey Spliffyfox!

Sorry it's taken a while to get round here, we're a little light on Coco Staff at the mo!
I've done a good few coco grows and have a little sticky thread in here with some tips i gathered (harvested) from canna along the way.

(this is specific to Canna Coco - i don't know what brand you use and appreciate that some coco needs to be rinsed to remove the salts, and charged with a very small amount of nutes to start)

Do you have a way to check the EC (nute strength in the water) ? Are you PHing your water (to 5.8) before you water?

Both of these are super important for coco. Every watering you should check the EC first and get it to the desired level, and then PH adjust to 5.8.
I say 5.8 because you can do a whole grow start to finish at that level. Although a pro might want to creep the PH up through flowering to cater for optimum uptake ranges.

It's not a good idea to let the coco completely dry out.
FLushing is something i've never really done, although once established in the pot, it can be a good idea to water to a bit of run off to avoid salt buildups.

I hope some of these points are helpful.

All the best
