Hope you dont mind if i chime in but i think you might be better off doing a mix with coco loco like trap did or just straight happy frog..

i grew out a lot of different autos using different mixes of ocean forest and happy frog..i've layered it, mixed it at different ratios, tried it a ton of ways over the years and yea it would get me through the grow but i found straight up happy frog amended with lime and stuff gave me the best consistent results..i noticed when i mixed the two i would run into ph issues and lockout and it just wasnt consistent for me plus its really hot BUT thats with the ocean forest in my area, yours may be better quality. honestly after running 100% happy frog one time ive never bought a bag of OF again..if you do use it just be extra careful with the nutes as OF has a lot :Sharing One:

edit: by no means am i saying you cant have a good grow with the 50/50 mix i just found when mixing the two theres a lot more variables that can throw off ph or cause issues

That's excellent advice from a grower with MUCH more experience than I have... :)

Oh thanks for the heads up...
at what ratio would I amend with the lime? Also, I would assume adding perliite would be good too?

No problem man with my happy frog i usually add 1 tablespoon of dolomite lime per gallon and yeah you can add some perlite if you want to i usually just add a few large cup fulls theres people here that grow awesome plants without adding any so u dont need to add too much:Sharing One:

Same here....1 tablespoon per gallon and some Great White Mycos

gracias...gentlemen !

Have either of you tried - organic alfalfa meal tea?
I have been reading alot about triacontol found naturally in alfalfa as a biostimulant / steriod hormone for plants
