I was one of the lucky few to get free seeds for the dutch passion photo competition here on afn. Hope I do them and their genetics justice.

Thanks again to Tony and the kind folks of dutch passion!

I was interested in Frisian Dew because of the sturdiness, colors and the nice indica buzz and a lavenderish/floral/nutty flavor (as I heard from maffro here on afn and some other sites around the net.) This variety is a Skunk*Purple Star cross and It looks gorgeous when grown properly. See maffros Outdoor-Grow here:

I germed 2 Seeds two days ago and transplanted in little pots today.

The seedlings will go to their Outdoor location in about 2-3 weeks. The site is already prepared with a nice compost enriched soil.

I am happy to finally start this one!

Both seedlings have established themselves and for now all is good.

The two Frisian dew are fine. It was rainy the last 5 Days so they are kind of "thin and tall" at the moment. This isnt that bad for me as I can bury the main root a little deeper so they will not dry out that easily.

Plus the bottom part of the stem which will be underground will establish roots as well in a month or so.

They are a little smaller than the the AutoBlueberry and the Snowstorm #2

They grow a little slow due to the less than ideal light conditions but seem to be healthy. Any advice is always welcome. I plan to put them out in two to three weeks or whenever they seem sturdy enough to survive in the wild.

Hi have sum going outside myself . Open window a touch the wind will help sturdy them. Happy growin

hello bro,

all the outdoor growers are saying this is turning out to be the worst year in a long time for northern euro growers. If you have a light it may help to get them underneath it for a few days to try to beef them up before the face the weather. Good luck !

Hi Tony,
Hope the weather gets better for the rest of the season! I have a 250w Mh and a HPS but I decided to disassemble my grow cabinet over the summer. I figured it will get to hot here to use them anyway.
No artificial lights for these babies. :crying: Sound advice though.

@GROWNBITCHZ, thanks for the advice man I already tried to have the window open when I could. I even did a little training by hand shaking them a little everyday but there is just not enough light. But hey, they grow and will get strong soon enough.

a little update:

They will be planted outdoors next week. Sadly they have got leaf miners :crying:. I treated them with Neem Oil and hope for the best. Any advice on how to kill, or protect from leaf miners is appreciated.

:peace:

The leaf miners are all dead and this is the last update before I take them to the woods. I hope the outdoor season will get better before autumn!

They got eaten by critters...

I think that late planting was one of the main reasons that most of my plants got so much interest and attention from the local critters. They just love fresh green and in July the plants where the only fresh green "salad" around... I did put out critter repellent but I think most of it got quickly washed away by a very rainy season.:cuss:

Thread closed. Will try them again next year.
