Lighting Fugue State, Autocobs, and Advanced Nutrients

Hey Hemi! I guess my post was a little too open to interpretation! Lol. I should’ve said that the cobs had a foot between each other (heat sink edge to heat sink edge.) distance from canopy was 24in. Side note: the tallest plant was 5 inches taller than the other two so although it was consistent at 24in above the plant, it was 29 inches above the 2 other plants. But the 3 autocobs were still probably too much light considering the footprint I was using at the time for the 3 plants.
Oh thank some deity! I was picturing these cobs in a one square foot, literally 12 inches to the outside edges of the heatsinks. I was wondering why you wanted to play with lasers. And at 24 inches that would have been blasting a hole thru the canopy.

So yours are close to how I have mine setup in my 3x3 tent. There isn’t much more than 12 inches between the four and at thirty inches they are doing fine.

Yeah I saw that post a few weeks ago. On my last run I realized it first hand when I put a piece of cardboard up to the cob to block out the light as I wanted to see what kind of of light spillover was hitting one of my plants from the next light over. Within seconds I saw smoke! Very powerful little lights indeed! Also on my way out this morning I had a quick peek into the tent and it looked like they were starting the process of perking up. Hopefully things get going on the right track and stay there till a bountiful harvest! Lol!
:vibes::karmacloud: I might never have a bountiful harvest but I always have a harvest. Rinse and repeat.

I hear ya! Let’s be real here for a sec; I’m happy as a pig in shit to get to the end! There’s something about enjoying high quality bud that you essentially created. Especially when sharing it with friends and they’re extremely happy with it. But.... I’d be ecstatic if I could get half a lb off the three. Not impossible, but should I be so fortunate I’d be over the moon!

Def possible! Keep them happy and 2oz per plant is feasible.

It takes a bit of work to get bigger plants but 1/2lb is possible with even one plant. My second and third biggest auto gorilla was grown with one AutoCob. Came in at 8 and 9 oz. my third gorilla was grown with 2 cobs and yielded 11 oz.

Day 38

The plants have done a bit of growing... the tallest is now 25in the other two are 15 and 16in tall. I’m seeing some early bud development coming along which is promising. Still have a bit of N toxicity- I was using a different sized jug to mix my nutes on the last batch and was a little elevated at the time and I failed to adjust the amounts I was mixing... So, even though I thought I was backing things down a bit, I was actually mixing almost the exact same strength. It ended up being a tad less. My real concern right now is dark red/purple petioles I’m seeing here and there. For the record, they didn’t just appear. They showed up sparsely a few weeks ago. Any that were rather advanced I snipped and hoped for the best! I know, I know... not exactly the best way to try and deal with the problem but things were extremely hectic and I was under a lot of stress and just didn’t want to think about it. I’m open to any and all advice. Full disclosure; I haven’t been tracking my ph. I was putting off a new ph pen partially because I was hoping that the ph perfect line would hold true, but I’m thinking ph is most likely a factor with my existing problems.

PH easiest place to start. Anytime my girls go off ph is the culprit. Well I’m the culprit getting lazy and stop checking ph.

Thanks. Looks like I’m ordering something tomorrow. I was eyeing the apera ph60(I think that’s the name of it) anyone have any experience with it? Also can anyone recommend a good combo meter that will do ph and EC? I’m planning to switch to mega crop soon and I’ve noticed everything about feeding seems to be discussed using EC. Or would I be better served using 2 separate instruments?
