New Grower Full Duplexs FF feed schdule + FFOF

The Squid, I'll be shopping around today for some Pro-mix Hp, is there anything else you think i'll need?,
( I'll be starting in about a week )
I will be bubbleing my water, ph'ing soil to 6.5, and using tiered transplanting method (jiffy seed starter mix, or Pro-mix)

This is whats in my arsonal: I basicly have all the ingredients that i was gonna use in FD's soil mix,
1 gallon smart pots, air pump w/stone, ph meter, ppm meter, superthrive, Led light, installing 4 in fan w/ filter,
spray bottle, Fox Farm trio, Sledgehammer.
Thanks for the help on this Squid, I can't belive this site was here all along. There's alot i've learned the hard way.

Thanks Swamp Man, I'll need it with the prices, and availability around here. (no 2 cu.ft. pro-mix here) next size is $51.00.

Squid, If you don't mind i might need to here about another simple method, and soil. What do you think about 50/50 Ocean Forest, Happy frog, + perlite. Would that work with FD's FF feed schedule. Thank you

Hey Major sorry I didn't get back sooner, Like I was saying earlier I used the FFOF all I added was some dolamite lime pellets I got at feed store (CHEAP) it said they are for lawns BUT... and I used a 18qt bag of perlite to the whole bag of FFOF, I only used 1/4 cup of the lime in enough mixed FFOF and perlite to fill two pots. 1 about 2 gal and 1 about 1 gal so 3 gallons of soil 1/4 cup lime and so far my pH is on the money. just checked it tonight after day 23 and it is as such 1-23-13 beige pot in 6.3 out 6.4 = +.1 so soil pH is 6.4 + .1 = 6.5 woohoo. That Squid guy rocks LOL. and I can't say enough about how good the plants are looking. So far the best advice I got was to quit sweatin the petty stuff and pet the sweaty stuff. That pH stuff seems to be the ticket. But what do I know I am only on day 23 here is a link to my grow on the very first page is a pic of what I bought to start with and so far all I used from that pic was the perlite LMAO. I will use the FF trio soon though, when Mr. Squid gives me the go ahead. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/wileywillys-nl-virgin-grower-15102.html Good Luck Major I can't wait to see what you get going. :peace:

Thanks Willy, Just checked out your thread. Awsome!!! AF grower!!! Nothing like smokeing your own nug's. Just started toking on my 2nd single plant grow.
I have a few more thing i have to do before i start 3rd 5 plant grow though. I decide to spend the 50 somthing dollers on Pro-mix HP. Just seems easier, and i will be getting bigger cups for tiered transplanting method. I'll probably start germinating in about 3 days.
1. Remove outtake computer fan.
2. Cut 4 inch hole for fan/filter. (hand wood saw).
3. Install duct starter, fan/filter.
4. Screw one end copper wire w/black plastic coating (bendable) to wall useing little screw clamps.
5. Connect computer fan to other end of bendable wire (electrical tape), wire fan back up with extra fan wire taped along copper wire w/coating. This way i can have a movable fan with out giving up too much space.
6. Buy Pro-mix. Maybe dolmite lime, maybe jiffy seed starter soil.

Hey man. :smokebuds:

If you get Promix, be it HP or BX, you won't need the lime or starter mix. Ph is perfect starter mix. A lot of farmers and nurseries use it just for that. And it already has lime in it and is buffered pretty much spot on.

Sorry, I haven't been by. That other 50/50 mix would probably be fine, too. But that's two bag you gotta get then mix them and then I still wouldn't start beans in there. As far as the FF trio feeds that FD has, it can be used pretty much whenever it is time to feed in any medium. He has a really tailored mix and feed that works for him and would work as well for others. It is a great method and all around program and I really like it. My only issue is that it is not new user friendly, and that is my area. I strongly recommend your Promix idea. :D :toke: :bong:

Thanks Squid. I did pick up a bail of Pro-mix HP today at out local feed store. (almost $60.00). I still have a few more things i have to take care of before i start germinating though.
I've had heat problems last go around so i want to get my 4 inch fan/filter set up before i start. I'll be using the tiered method. (looking for larger plastic cups). All Pro-mix HP from germination to harvest right? I do have a soil ph tester also.
I'll be starting in about 2 to 3 days. Thanks Squid

Yup. Promix all the way! Get at least 32oz cups or bigger. Or just plant in final pot. Good luck! I'll be 'round.

Hello, can anyone tell me specificly what kind of SCREEN MESH is used in FD's tiered transplanting method, and where to look for it?. I tried looking for it but i can't find it anymore in FD's thread. My set up is all ready to go except the screen mesh, and large cups. Thank you.

The Squid, Hey Squid, Will i be fine without useing the mesh screen in the tiered transplanting method?
I found some Bonsia screen mesh material on ebay, but the holes look too small compared to FD's picture with mesh in bottom of cup for the roots to come through.
Thanks Squid
